Editorial Review for Four Kegs – by Jesse Will
The Scene
This intersection, where Frat Row meets High Street, is the center of traffic in the campus area, pedestrian and otherwise. Its location may be Four Kegs' only asset: The glass-fronted bar and its patio are perfect for people-watching. While the place has shuffled name and ownership lately, the formula hasn't changed: On any decent weekday afternoon during the OSU calendar year, the patio of this bar collects students on their commute from classes and plants them in front of pitchers of beer.
The Crowd
As the night goes on, the patio fills with wanton revelers whose chief thrill is taunting bleary-eyed Kinko's patrons next door. Speakers aimed directly at the crowd below fill the intersection with music, all night long. And you can hear any song you want, as long as it's either "Piano Man" or "Tangled up in Blue."

Know that this review comes from a former employee of 4 Kegs. I quit this job because I found it to be in conflict with my morals. While working at 4 Kegs, I was a bar back and did a little bit of everything but mostly just cooked food. My training was nonexistent. The kitchen was beyond disgusting and I spent most of my time cleaning the kitchen because of previous employees lack of cleanliness. My major quarrel is with the management. The GM of the bar/restaurant often gave orders for us to do things that were unethical. On multiple occasions, I was told on busy nights to switch kegs out on their draught system only to find that we were out of the kegs of the particular beer that had run out. After alerting the GM, I was told to hook up a Keystone Light keg in the parallel keg system along with what was left of the beer that had run out. In short, I was ordered to turn a tap into a Bud Light/Keystone Light tap which was sold at the Bud Light price. The first time I was told to do this was a piture night so the 2 beers were the same price so the customer wasn't hurt although the beer suppliers were (mixing beer tastes terrible). The second time, the beer was a different price. I quit the next day. I heard multiple rumors of health inspectors being paid off but I have no idea if that's really true. 4 Kegs has recently been "shut down" which really means it's being remodeled and getting a name change as well as being under the same management. For your health and integrity, avoid this establishment.
Pros: The patio is nice. Lots of college girls.
Cons: Lots of college girls. Questionable ethics.

I agree with the previous poster -- lots of hot chicks!! Cheap beer. Definitely a dive, but also a hot spot very near to campus. I haven't been to many of the other bars in the area, so I can't compare but I definitely get the feeling that the patio is defintely the place to be late at night.
Pros: Good crowd; Good prices
