Community thrift store accepts and sells donations of used clothing and housewares for a good cause.. In Short
Nonprofit chain of stores boasts more than 2,000 retail outlets and 3,300 donation centers nationwide. The charitable model relies on community members to contribute their gently used (or new) belongings--anything ranging from business and casual wear to home appliances, children's toys to books and computers--and purchase others' donations. The proceeds from the bargain-priced wares go toward job training and career-placement services for disadvantaged populations, including welfare recipients, homeless citizens and those with physical and mental disabilities.

Favorite Place to shop. I love to shop at the new Lancaster Goodwill. The new store is so clean and well organized. The prices are great and the selections are plentiful. The employees at the store are very friendly and eager to help in any way they can. The location on Fair Ave is very convienant and there is plenty of parking. The cashiers are very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The employees in the back are very helpful if I have questions and are very nice to talk to while I shop. There are always new things out and I go back everyday to see what treasures I can find. The guys that bring out the carts of household items are very friendly and have helped me take out furniture a few times. The one guy always makes me laugh because he often has unique hats or stuff on. He also stocks the books that I come to get often. I hope that they continue to bring out the great stuff they have and the employees are as friendly as they always are. A great place to shop. Come see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!!!

Goodwill Lancaster ohio. Yes most of the thrift stores have for years diverted items for sale to other venues Ebay being only one of them. I remember years ago watching a 20/20 special long before the Internet where a lady became a millionaire running a Goodwill Store. She would get the good stuff and sell it elsewhere.

I know a friend of mine who works there said they take the good stuff and set it aside and only sell the so-so stuff in the store. He said Men's Jeans are almost always not sent to the sales floor. And I have noticed you won't find many there and what is found are way out of style or trashed. Same with the plus size clothes only the nasty ones are sent to the floor.

They tend to overprice but not as badly as Salvation Army. Man they are wanting 5-6

Best Thrift Store in Ohio. I love this new store on Fair Avenue is Lancaster. It is bright and roomy and full of goodies! The cashier with the southern accent is not the manager, although she is nice. The manager is the short blonde with long straight hair. She is the one you always she buzzing around the store helping everyone. I was just there on Monday and spent over 2 hours shopping. They were bringing out so many racks of clothes I had to keep looking! I do wish they had more shelving space for their household items and other treasures. 2 guys were bringing out cart after cart of things! The one guy I see there alot with the blonde pony tail is always pleasant. He was helping the manager carry furniture for a customer. I love this new store and I hope I can find some more goodies this weekend!
