Don't Buy Here!.
We own a condo here and until recently things were great. Lately the property manger has refused to return phone calls, has taken 6 months to fix a leak in our roof, we have asked for multiple
other items to be taken care of outside with no response.
Additionally we are trying to sell our condo and have listed it for over a year with no offers, due to the high number of foreclosures in the area, and the association is refusing to allow us to rent while we try to sell. We would like to start a family and there is not enough space in our condo to do so and we want to buy a house but cannot afford two mortgages. They refuse to allow us to rent however I have found that there are multiple property management companies and people who own more than one condo in this complex who are currently renting...not sure how that is fair as they are renting for profit for many years and we are asking to be allowed to rent for two while we attempt to sell.
Apparently you have to be "one of the group" here to get any perks. This is not a family friendly environment as people drive too fast down the road with no sidewalks and neighbors spy on you all the time to make sure you don't break any rules.
My advice is to look elsewhere...read the rules of the association before you by anywhere.…
Gender Park not new but very much improved!!!!. I've been a resident at Gender Park for nearly 12 years. I find it to be a very friendly community. The grounds are just beautiful and well kept. Keep in mind that any condo complex has it's problems however, the new board of directors has implemented some new changes to benefit all who live there. They have corrected most of the problems that existed when they were voted into office. The budget was balanced and the new property manager has done an awesome job in a very short period of time to bring the property back to order. No matter where you live you can always have problem people that bring down a community but here at Gender park that is all being turned around. The rules and regulations were put in place to benefit all who choose to call this home. There are a number of units here that are available for sale so come check us out. You'll be surprised at what you see. We have one of the nicest clubhouses in the city with a gym that is very well equipped as well as a pristeen pool. The blockwatch is also an added ammenity to living here and feeling safe. Come and see for yourself!…
New Management at Gender Park!.
In July of 2010 Gender Park Condominiums took on Myers Real Estate as their new property manager and what a positive difference they have made in a very short period of time!
Gender Park is one of the largest condo communities in the state of Ohio and the new Board of Directors is intent on making it an enjoyable place to live.
Like any other condo community there are rules and regulations in place for ownes and renters alike. Because of it's size and owner preference, rental restrictions were put in place to curtail the number of units that could be rented.
Designated parking is available for residents and overflow is available for guests. Blocking of garage doors is not permitted.
Pit bulls and mixes are not permitted and there is a new limit of 2 dogs per unit. There is no size restriction at the this time. If you own a cat, they are not permitted to roam the neighborhood. Owners and renters are expected to clean up after their pets, otherwise it could result in a fine. Trash cans are located in the front and at the back of the property near the dog run.
The pool and clubhouse is one of the cleanest in Columbus and is available to residents and their guests only. Clubhouse hours do vary depending on the season and is available to residents for parties for a fee.
I would encourage anyone who enjoys condominium living to check this place out. The grounds are beautiful and there are many nice neighbors!…
Our Realtor Took us to look at a 3 bedroom Foreclosure. We looked at 2 condos in this complex and fell in love with the 3 bedroom 2 car garage and even had a fenced in area. We was ready to put a offer in when our realtor called us to inform of all the rules and the new updates of the rules. The reason we was looking to purchase was because we have 3 dogs. A 6 year old golden retriever and 2 minnie daushchunds and we have ran into a issue with finding a rental that accepts pets. So we our just going to purchase a home. But at this complex even thou you own your condo the association has placed in the rules you can only have 2 pets. We was in shock when our realtor informed us of this rule. We thought with purchasing we would not run into this issue. But guess what we did at this complex. Also myself with my job I could easily be transferred out of state tomorrow or 5 years from now but at this complex they have made a new rule that if you want to rent your condo you have to get permission from the association.... I know living in a condo complex you have rules... We have lived in a very nice upscale one in southern ohio where our backyard was the Ohio River but our association did not tell you anything about your pets or the renting of your condo. I would warn anyone looking at this complex to check out the rules of this complex. I believe you would be really shocked... It is moreless like living in a apartment complex and that is a serious downfall and this association needs to take a step back. They lost 2 Professional adults whos children our their dogs and take pride in where they live. Beware of this complex and its rules....…
OK to Own But Not To Rent. This is a great place to live. It is very pet friendly with a dog run to release and exercise fido. There is a large pool and well equiped fitness room and club house available for private parties. All units can fence in private area surrounding the condo and still have landscaping service. There is a block watch which helps to insure personal security. This is a nice quiet friendly place to live.…
