Grinch!. We came for a Holiday Family Brunch and was met by Grinch! The server sounded irritated explaining items. I was embarrassed to be treated so mean for nothing. We didn't see the "No Blacks Allowed" Sign. The experience had me sick on the stomach, I couldn't enjoy my meal. How do you run a restaurant making a difference in how you treat people?

Good Food, Great Staff, Fantastic Evening. We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner the night before my son's wedding. As we live in Cincinnati , we arranged this mostly by long distance. We made many phone calls about table arrangements, room sizes and menu items and everyone who answered the phone was pleasant and helpful. They strove to make the evening enjoyable and stress free for all. The food was excellent from soup through dessert . The cost was reasonable and the atmosphere warm and inviting. We would recommend La Chatelaine to anyone be it dinner for 1 or 35. Our guests throughly enjoyed the evening!

Not good French food AT ALL!. There's no where else in town dedicated to simpler French food, but for pastries I would send you to Whole Foods or my wife's and for food I would eat at Bon Vie for a better experience since the food at La Chatelaine is not really French either and at least you will have a good quality and service at Bon Vie.

Overpriced and not great. This restaurant has beautiful display cases of food, but unfortunately it's all over priced. I went for French Onion Soup (somewhere between $5-7), which did _not_ come with cheese baked over the top and a good peice of bread soggy in the bottom. Instead I had to pay $1.50 extra for a little palstic cup or cheese and a couple croutons. I wasn't even very impressed with how it tasted, as my neighbor makes better in his own kitchen.

save your money. rude service, cafeteria style, food is dry. I would recommend that you save your money or invest it at BonVie instead.
