Quaintness Quotient
Few Ohio cities possess as much colonial charm as Worthington and sometimes it's too much. Kerbler's is not only a good place to eat, but a relief from places called
"ye olde" this and "la" that.
A Lunchtime Revelation
At 666 High Street, (they're aware of but not fazed by the religious implication) neither the building nor the cuisine is pretentious. Breakfast is always available but Kerbler's does a healthy lunch business. Soups, salads and sandwiches are their stock in trade, plus specials that change daily. (Wednesday is pot roast day.)
Clientele
Most of the afternoon crowd are retirees or workers on their lunch break. Thankfully, for the latter, service is fast, sometimes too fast. Occasionally, patrons have to fend off the over-enthusiastic bussers when they make for unfinished plates.…
