I hate to do this, but it needs to be said. I have used City Flowers 3 times. The first two were fine, though not exceptional. This last time was a complete disaster. Valentine's Day. I live out of town. My girlfriend lives in Columbus. It was VITAL that I could rely on the florist, or I'd be in the doghouse. I called weeks in advance, asked the florist to put together an arrangement, paid by credit card, and thought that would be it. I had used this florist before, and assumed (my mistake) that they had the address on file, but gave it to them anyway. They tried to deliver them to the wrong address (a nonexistent one at that). On the morning of the 14th, I got a call from a delivery man asking for my girlfriend's phone number. I had to leave a meeting to answer, so I was already a little annoyed. I thought it went without saying that the delivery was suppose dot be a surprise, but nonetheless I told him where she would be ALL DAY (she was sick and would be home). Despite my instructions, he called her. I called to complain, and who I can only assume to be the owner or manager actually tried to give me excuses! She said that there was a snow storm (which there was) so they were forced to use delivery guys who weren't their normal guys. What's worse, she tried to blame me for giving her the wrong address. I understand that certain unexpected problems are bound to arise. I do not understand, however, how a Florist could be so unprepared on Valentine's Day. My girlfriend was very upset with the mix up, it didn't reflect well on me, and to top it off, the arrangement looked like it had been thrown together using leftover flowers. I think I'll find a new florist.
Pros: they actually answered the phone- that's about it
Cons: rude

delivery on christmas in a snow storm?! i can't beleive it... they always make sure the customer feels appreciated on their special occassion, no matter what it takes. simply top notch.
Pros: parking, family owned & operated, great with phone orders
Cons: walk-in hours vary, call first
