Monday evening was my 1st trip to
The bar person a Miss Jamie I believe was her name, spent more time chatting with either her husband, a boyfriend, or a guy who wanted to be either than she did taking care of customers of which there were few. I tried to learn something about Larry B's i e music, menu, Happy Hour, etc. I told her I was new in town. She appeared in too much of a hurry to get back to the guy than to provide more than a Morse code type information to a potential long term customer. She has no idea how to pour a draft beer, unless the owner told her 1/3rd is to be head.
Tuesday night I met the WORST BARMAID I HAVE EVER MET IN 35 YEARS OF OWNING OR REVIEWING BARS. Her name is TEREASA. Tall blond heavy set.
I asked if she could get Closed Captioning on a TV so I could watch and enjoy PTI, . Afterall, Larry B's is a ??Sports Bar??". Her reply was "ARE YOU GONNA DRINK SOMETHING?"
My 1st thought was "No I just came in here to watch TV"
I replied "Yes and ordered a Yuengling Draft". After about 5 minutes she appears with a remote and says "WE'RE NOT GOING TO DO THIS CLOSED CAPTIONING ALL THE TIME. THIS IS A BAR."
I asked "Isn't this a Sports Bar?"
"YEH AND I HAVE PEOPLE TO WAIT ON"
There were 7 people in the bar and she was in the weeds already??
I then said "Well I have lost my ability to read lips and Closed Captioning was developed for bars and the hearing impaired"
Her reply?? "WHAT IS IT?"
I just shook my head asked for my check 3 times and left.
In closing, she should be fired and someone who understands the WOW FACTOR in serving customers should be hired. As far as Jamie goes, well, she is beautiful, but that doesn't make the owner any money.
great NIGHTclub. Larry's rocks AFTER 7 p.m. Good location, nice crowd of people with a good mix of all ages. Weekend evenings rock with great bands.
