Rofini's Remebered. I rediscovered Rofini’s a few months ago and it stirred up some serious nostalgia. I grew up in the same blue color Linden neighborhood that Rose and Josephine did in the 50’s and 60’s. It was a great time and a great place. Joints like Renzetti’s IGA, Chet’s Tastee Freez and Lawson’s convenience store were a few other staples in the neighborhood. All within an easy walk or even better a Huffy or Murray bike ride. Summer days at Linden Beach Swim Club and summer nights at the Dog & Suds Drive-In Restaurant and later on dressed in your PJ’s at the Linden-Air Drive-In Theatre. Rofini’s pizza pie was great then and it’s great today.

something special about it. Rofini's is a little hole in the wall pizza shop in Westerville. The place has been around for a long time. There is no seating, just pickup and delivery. This is the definition of a "no-frills" pizza shop. I don't think anything has changed from the place since the 70's, same oven, same decor, same delivery bags, same people. But there is something special about the pie that keeps me coming back, even after I no longer live in Westerville. The sauce has a different taste to it that I really like - somewhat sweet, but also zesty. The crust is the way I like it on a thin crust....crispy on the edges. The toppings are okay, not extraordinary, but I think the keys to a pizza are sauce and crust. The only negatives are they only take cash or check, and sometimes it can take them awhile to churn out a pie. If you order pickup, they say it will take 25 minutes, but it frequently takes 30-35, so don't come early.
