The Scene – Rush Creek used to be a sports bar called Scoreboard, which had wall-sized televisions and was a nearby refuge from the prohibition in Westerville (the "Dry Capital of the World"). The TVs stayed, it's still serving food, and a large patio with a full bar was built on the tree-lined lot behind the building. – – The Draw – It's a sports bar, but also a good place for happy hour with co-workers. The Thursday night concerts generally attract groups. There's a sand volleyball court next to the patio. On Thursdays during the summer, the court is transformed…
the WORST dining experience EVER

I was looking for a sports bar to take my boyfriend to tonight so we could watch the basketball games while we ate. I found rush creek on city search and I was impressed by the previous reviews and the location so I decided to take him there. WORST mistake of my weekend. We sat down and were introduced to our waiter who was wearing baggy jeans and an untucked button down shirt (not very professional). He took our drink order (two waters) and then proceeded to leave the restaurant from a side door...cell phone in hand. When he came back in 15 minutes later he finally brought our waters. He took our order and didn't write anything down, and then he tried to repeat it back to us and couldn't even remember it!! Another 30 minutes went by and he finally brought our food. I was watching him walk through the restaurant talking to co-workers and checking his cell phone, it was only after he noticed our table and the fact that I was staring at him that he remember our food was waiting. He brought our appetizer and meal at the same time, because he had obviously forgotten about it. The food was Mediocre at BEST. We didn't even eat our cheesesticks because they were so cold. He finally came back to our table, again another 30 minutes later and cleared our table and asked if we would like the check, to which we replied "yes please." Another 20 minutes went by and I finally looked back at the bar and actually witnessed him taking a SHOT. Are you kidding me???
The meal wasn't worth the money at ALL, and the service was so poor they should have been paying US to eat there. The TV screens are a nice size and there are a lot of them, but I will never go there again. I would choose BW3's or ANYWHERE else before I went there again.
- Pros: NOTHING
- Cons: FOOD, SERVICE, PRICE-EVERYTHING
Great Place to Be

When it comes to watching real sports, all of them, don't waist your time on these so called sports bars, Rush Creek is the real thing. Its great, I can bring my kids, watch football, baseball, racing, anything, and its awsome. The staff is so great they really make you feel like your in your own living room. Even the owner was there searching the satelites to find a soccer game my kids wanted to see. Definitely a national championship kind of place.
- Pros: food, price, people
SPORTS BAR?
by jeff_600RX at Citysearch
I went in on a Sunday afternoon with some friends totally geared up to watch the AMA Superbike Races and MotoGP races. When we arrived they were showing the final 15 laps of a Nascar race...."fine" we thought "By the time this race is over...the bike races will start" ..... so we asked the girl behind the bar if she could put it on Speed Channel. Unfortunately she didn't switch the channel until way after the race was over (like the interviews are that important)...I mean C'mon, it's not like it was the Daytona 500 or anything. Finally they put on the bike race (we missed the start). Some dudes were playing pool and asked if they could play some music. So what do they do? They cut the sound on the TV and turn music on?! In a SPORTS BAR? While WE were watching TV?! So we left.
- Pros: Foods OK, Sportbiker unfriendly
- Cons: Beer is expensive!, NASCAR a SPORT?
