Editorial Review for Rush Creek Sports Bar & Grill – by Lori Sutton
The Scene
Rush Creek used to be a sports bar called Scoreboard, which had wall-sized televisions and was a nearby refuge from the prohibition in Westerville (the "Dry Capital of the World"). The TVs stayed, it's still serving food, and a large patio with a full bar was built on the tree-lined lot behind the building.
The Draw
It's a sports bar, but also a good place for happy hour with co-workers. The Thursday night concerts generally attract groups. There's a sand volleyball court next to the patio. On Thursdays during the summer, the court is transformed into a stage, and the whole thing becomes an outdoor party. The band lineup includes Columbus favorites the Menus, Shucking Bubba Deluxe, and the Reaganomics, as well as a DJ spinning the hits.

When it comes to watching real sports, all of them, don't waist your time on these so called sports bars, Rush Creek is the real thing. Its great, I can bring my kids, watch football, baseball, racing, anything, and its awsome. The staff is so great they really make you feel like your in your own living room. Even the owner was there searching the satelites to find a soccer game my kids wanted to see. Definitely a national championship kind of place.
Pros: food, price, people

I went in on a Sunday afternoon with some friends totally geared up to watch the AMA Superbike Races and MotoGP races. When we arrived they were showing the final 15 laps of a Nascar race...."fine" we thought "By the time this race is over...the bike races will start" ..... so we asked the girl behind the bar if she could put it on Speed Channel. Unfortunately she didn't switch the channel until way after the race was over (like the interviews are that important)...I mean C'mon, it's not like it was the Daytona 500 or anything. Finally they put on the bike race (we missed the start). Some dudes were playing pool and asked if they could play some music. So what do they do? They cut the sound on the TV and turn music on?! In a SPORTS BAR? While WE were watching TV?! So we left.
Pros: Foods OK, Sportbiker unfriendly
Cons: Beer is expensive!, NASCAR a SPORT?
