This Bexley fixture keeps cranking out over 50 flavors of top-notch ice cream.. The Scene
This family owned ice creamery has been churning out 50 flavors since 1950. There are also fountain items, miscellaneous baked goodies and a small deli. The Bexley store is very family friendly, featuring plenty of booths and tables at which to sit and savor your selection. The inside is decorated with ice cream posters, framed ice cream-themed puzzles and thank you cards from school children that have experienced the "factory" tour and For those in a hurry there are walk-up to-go windows.

The Food
Johnson's vanilla and other staple flavors are famous enough to be served at many upscale Columbus-area restaurants. More unique options include sundaes such as Tin Roof, Duster and Pecan Ball. If making a choice is too hard there are plenty of hand packed pints and quarts to take home. And maybe a Turtle Ice Cream Pie or Spumoni Log for later.

good but not the best. I love Johnson's... They know how to treat their customers, they have a great product, and they have a fair price. I don't get there very often, because I usually go to Ritter's Frozen Custard, which is better, but I still like Johnson's way better than Greaters or any of the other places in town.

Real Ain't the Word!. If you are looking for extra creamy rich ice cream, this is the place to go. Forget about Ben and Jerry's and Graeters, go to Johnson's! They make the best milkshakes on this side of the earth. Their banana splits are great also!

Memories. I grew up on this stuff, it's homemade, NOT A CHAIN like graeter's crap which every yuppie seems to suscribe to easily, simply because it's the "IN" thing to do. Johnson's is fairer priced and just all around better.

Yummm.... Johnson's is a landmark on the eastside of Columbus. They have wonderful icecream and the service is great. There are definately die-hard Johnson's fans - and I am one of them. Definately the best icecream in Columbus.

Smooth and Creamy? Johnson's Ice Cream. The worlds greatest Ice Cream, so creamy, the flavor of any of the flavors you choose are right on the money. Strawberry taste like fresh strawberries and cream, Cherry, like cherries and cream. The staff is so great, and the dining area is so clean and takes you back in time to the old fashion Ice Cream Parlors that I remember as a child.
