The Zoo's for you!. One of the best zoo's in the nation. A great place for the family that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get into and everyone can enjoy.

fun & family friendly. Our family, my husband 2 boys ages 10 & 5, and I love going to the Columbus Zoo, we've gone almost every year. They always have new attractions and seem to be constantly bettering the habitats of the animals. Wonderful place for the kids to learn & play. Oh, they also have a pretty cool playground. Also very stroller and wagon friendly ;) Don't forget to visit during the holidays, the lights are spectacular, but a tad crowded. Prepare to wait in traffic a while.

More a Habitat than a Zoo. The thing I like about the Columbus Zoo is that it is not a typical zoo with animals cramped into tiny little cages or in places they are clearly not comfortable. The Columbus Zoo has more of a "habitat" atmosphere where the animals are put into familiar surroundings.

Unfortunately, due to this setup sometimes you will not even see some of the animals. They sleep during the day or they are simply hiding somewhere (it's kind of like the first time the Jurassic Park visitors went out to see the dinosaurs). It's worth it though to be able to see animals how they were meant to be seen.

You Don't Know Jack w/o Zoo. My friends and I, all of us in college or recently graduated, appreciate the diversity of animals residing at the Columbus Zoo. Some may complain about the large areas that make it difficult to see animals and the extra walking to get to various exhibits, but these people need to remember that conservation and providing the animals with a proper sanctuary should come before exploitation just so everybody can see every animal stuffed into a tiny cage. Staff is friendly and informed; the Columbus zoo is a treasure!
