Two Sides to Every Story-For Ms. Kelli Stover. In response to Kelli Stover's review on city search about the 2005 Acura MDX, first and foremost, we pride ourselves on our customers complete satisfaction, I have attempted to contact her several times, via telephone and email to find out what I can do to make it right, they have yet to return and messages, which tells me something right there. As far as the work on the Acura, they took the vehicle to their own mechanic, had it checked out completely. I was never told of any complaints or problems by them about the car, it had brand new tires, new brakes put on it, also the torque which was serviced and has records was done at Lyndsay Honda. Also in regard to any other problems they felt the vehicle had, I supplied prior to them purchasing the vehicle a CarFax Report and a Autocheck from Experian, both showing no damage. I offered them a service contract(Warranty) with the vehicle which they declined, hence no one forced her to sign any paperwork stating it was sold as is, which was fully explained to her. Also, it was her bank which had placed to the lien on the vehicle, which meant the title(memorandum title) would come from the bank, not Maverick Motors, which we could not get one if we wanted. So her grievance about the title should be with her bank, I told her it can take up to 45 days depending on how fast the bank processes the title. This just goes to show that there really are two sides to every story.

Lies Lies and more Lies!!. On April 14, 2011 I went to Maverick Motors to look at a 2005 Acura MDX that was advertised on the kbb website. I was approached by Cameron Shaffer, There was a sticker on the window with a 90 day 3,000 mile warranty and a price written of 16500, without any negotiation he immediately told me the sticker price had been dropped to 15500. Apparently he has it figured out that a 1000 immediate drop sounds great to car buyers. He also explained that the tires were brand new, all 4 brakes and rotors had just been replaced, the oil had been changed and it had a new torque converter. I test drove the vehicle and took it to my mechanic who looked over the vehicle and told me the tires had about 10,000 miles on them, that the brakes and rotors had about 1/4 tread left, the torque converter showed signs of use so therefore had possibly been replaced but not for this sale as he claimed. The body had damage repair done as the paint color does not match, but I didn't notice that until after I purchased the vehicle. I did however ask him to disclose any body repair and he claimed none was done. My mechanic told me that knowing the history of an Acura, overall the car was in good shape. I mentioned to Cameron the issues my mechanics found he disclosed that he drove the vehicle himself for about 10,000 miles which explained the wear on the tires and the torque converter. I asked him to fix the brakes and rotors as he claimed were done and he said because of the deal on the car he couldn't. I figured still not a deal breaker, but his dishonest tactics was showing at this point. I still decided to forgo all the lies I uncovered and purchase the vehicle. Cameron handed me an "as is" paper to sign. I immediately questioned the 90 day 3,000 mile warranty sticker that was on the window when I agreed to purchase the vehicle. His remark was "it's common knowledge that when the price is dropped it voids the warranty" I exclaimed that we did not negotiate a price he mentioned the price change first thing, but knowing his dishonesty and the warranty did say the vehicle repairs had to be done at his shop, I figured at this point any work done at his shop would not be a smart move anyway so I signed the paper, taking the vehicle as is. Cameron said he would get the papers from the bank asap and send out my title usually within two weeks. I called him last week and he said he has 45 days by law and will wait until the 45 day to send the title. Very dishonest man!!

Maverick Motors. My family has been going to Maverick Motors for over 20 years and we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I drive 45 min for their honesty and great service. When "quickie" joints tell me I need services that cost into the hundreds, Maverick tells me everything is fine. They don't try to pressure you into services you don't need and don't charge for services they don't do. Absolutely worth the drive, every time.

MM is my first choice. I purchased an Odyssey from Camron just over a year ago. We were thrilled with the deal he worked out and are equally happy with the van still!

Now, we are in the market for a sedan for myself and will contact Camron first. If we can buy another vehicle from Camron, we most certainly will!
