So far so good. I looked at dozens of places for my mom and did not find any that i liked, so my sister and i decided to take care of her at home the best that we could. After about a year my mother could not control her bowels or walk anymore. She needed 24 hour professional care. This was the hardest decision i ever had to make. I was surprised on how well she is adjusting, she even it likes it! At christmas time the kids from a local high school came over and decorated the residents wheelchairs and passed out cookies and milk and played music. Seems like there is always something going on. The staff is very friendly. I also like that you can visit 24 hours a day. I get off at work at 1030 at night and stop in to kiss my mom goodnight. If you have to make this rough decision like i had to, i strongly recommend you check this place out. The only con i have is her laundry seems to get lost all the time.

A Nice Place with Caring Staff. The Laurels of Hilliard is a great place to take your loved one if they need the care of a nursing facility. The whole staff, including the Director and the nurses, worked with us to make sure that excellent care was given to my mother. They are really nice there and I would definitely recommend them!

The Best of the Bunch. I am so pleased with the level of care my grandmother recieved while she was a resident there. The staff was always respectful to her, and whenever she needed something, they always helped her with a smile, not made to feel like a burden as I have witnessed at other nursing homes that I have visited. I am especially pleased with the activity director, Navi, who consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the residents are engaged and having fun. Nursing homes can be depressing places at times, but the Laurels of Hilliard seems to be different. The building is newly remodeled to be bright and cheerful. The residents are always doing something fun, whether it be jewlery making, or playing with the kids from a local daycare center. What really impressed me is how Navi gives her residents a sense of purpose and lets them know that they can still contribute to the community, ex: the residents recently had a Coney Dog Sale and raised money for the Franklin County Dog Shelter! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

Exceeding Expectations. The Laurels of Hilliard exceeds expectations of those it serves. The staff is very caring and goes above and beyond to provide my loved one the care that is needed. Not only do they provide communication through family care conferences, the managers are always availabe to assist with anything needed. The Administrator seems to be there all the time and genuinely cares about the facility. Every center has issues. Trust me I know! My dad has been to 4 places and The Laurels has really met our expectaions. It is very clean and has floors that shine! I would highly reccomend the Laurels to anyone!

Worst Nursing Home. Have a mother and sister there. Moving them ASAP. Too many errors with staff, not enough care by director. Experiencing same problems as "Love" with same results. They need to get rid of Kelly (director) and get someone who cares about residents, not their paycheck. They also need to get rid of Rhonda (nurse), and Julie (another nurse), and get better communication between staff, and start listening to the family's complaints. We are not complaining just to complain...there are ligimate reasons for these complaints. If you don't want to fix the problems, get out of the business!
