No, No! Don’t Go!

Not only was “Spa At River Ridge” a big waste of my money but a big waste of my time also! First, they had to re-book me at the last minute because my stylist didn’t show up for work. Second, after rescheduling a second time I finally got my haircut and color. The stylist seemed to be very new. She was chewing gum loudly and only talked to people that worked there. I barely was able to keep her attention long enough to tell her how I wanted my hair done. My hair ended up being nothing like I explained to her. When I explained nicely how my hair wasn’t correct, no sign of concern emerged. No offer of a re-do, no partial discount, nothing. I also got a manicure. A week later had to get another manicure, another spa in Dublin, to fix my nails and polish. I'm forced to let my hair grow out.
Great friendly service

I've only been here for the massage service so I can't speak to the other things they offer but my experience at River Ridge was very positive. I was a little put off and not sure what to expect after reading one of the reviews on this site that talked about how I can see some of Dublin's "finer" residents there (because first, why do I care? And also this makes me feel like a working schmo like myself is going to be turned away at the door.)
At any rate, I needn't have worried because everyone I interacted with was friendly and down to earth. The massage table has heated sheets, they use Aveda products and the therapist (Lauren) was fabulous. It was a stress-free pampering trip. The receptionist gave me a no-pressure tour when we were done and the facility looks beautiful. Everything also seems very clean. Check the prices because some-like massage and haircuts-were about average but the manis and pedis seemed pricey although this might be because I've been getting these done at places with names like "#1 Nails." I'll definitely be back.
Talk about Bad PR!

Unlike most salons, the Spa at River Ridge actually charges for a haircut that goes to Locks of Love. If a customer is kind and patient enough to grow out 10 inches of hair in order that cancer survivors have access to quality wigs, then is it too much to ask for a complementary hair cut? Kudos to those salons who put their money where their mouth is and offer real incentives to donate hair.
Don't Expect Perfection -- Nightmarish Bob!

If you expect perfection in your hairstyle, don't go to Megan.
I recently switched to Spa at River Ridge at the recommendation of a friends who liked the service and the hours of operation for the Spa. I've always had a bob all my life.. and figured, how hard would it be to get a trim on my bob. I thought wrong.. my bob was not the same length of either side, and there's differing lengths in the back of my head for my hair. It was a nightmare! I would never come back to that Spa.
Other than that... the spa is fine, friendly service, great hours.
- Pros: Great hours
- Cons: less than perfect haircut
