I had an excellent experience at the Diamond Cellar while buying an engagement ring. I knew almost nothing about engagement ring components, diamonds, etc., and the staff was incredibly patient and helpful. Never once did I feel pressure to make a decision or selection (which was not the case at another local store), and I always felt that my salesman had my best interests in mind.

I would definitely go back to purchase other jewlery at the DC and would definitely recommend it to friends/family/co-workers.

Amazing service and great unique jewelry!. My fiance and I looked at several jewelers prior to going to the Diamond Cellar. The receptionist paged a consultant to meet with us and after meeting him we had nothing but top notch service. Based on just a simple description of what I thought I wanted they were able to show me literally dozens of perfect rings. We were beyond blown away by the service we received and I am happy to say my fiance did end up purchasing my dream ring from The Diamond Cellar. We absolutely plan on returning for our wedding bands.

Horrible Service. We too received horrible service at the Diamond Cellar on Sawmill Road. My boyfriend and I were grocery shopping on a Saturday and decided to stop by to look at engagement rings. We found the engagement ring section and stood there for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to help us. Not only did we not get assistance, not one single employee even acknowledged that we were standing there! One employee went as far to go over and talk to a customer who was already being helped by another associate. I feel that the major reason we were ignored is because we look young and were wearing street clothes rather than business attire. Needless to say we left and took our business elsewhere and have discouraged many of our friends and family from shopping there as well.

Awful Awful Awful!. The Johnson Family's Diamond Cellar (6280 Sawmill Rd, Columbus OH 43017) is the worst place to shop for jewelry. My husband and I went there to shop (our first time at this store), on our anniversary, for a few special jewelry items. I should also mention that since we are of Indian decent, we tend to purchase (real) jewelry items VERY often and bring our friends to the jewelry shops we frequent to add to their business. Upon entering the shop, the receptionist scoffed in the manner used to say "What are you doing here... I am better than you...". We ignored this incident and went further into the shop. All sales personnel keenly avoided eye contact with us and went to talk amongst themselves. After waiting approximately 10 minutes for a salesperson to help us, my husband and I decided to go up to the second floor to see if we could find someone to wait on us there. Upon arriving to the second floor, we experienced the same treatment. I should mention that we both were nicely dressed and I was even wearing nice jewelry as well. This was treatment was completely unacceptable.

The Diamond Cellar's vault-like building houses an extensive selection of fine jewelry and gifts. Styles range from old money to ultra-modern, but everything is high quality.

Luxuries
The finer things in life can be found here. They carry gift items from respected names such as Cartier, Lalique, Baccarat, Tiffany & Co. and Mont Blanc. The extensive selection of Swiss watches includes Ebel, Movado, Tag-Heuer, Patek Phillipe and Harry Winston.

What You'll Spend
Depends on your budget. You can find a beautiful engagement ring for $600, or one that lights up everything around it for $20,000. To their credit, the sales staff will treat you well either way.

After the Sale
Service doesn't end when you walk out the door with your new purchase. The store offers cleaning, pearl restringing, watch cleaning, appraisals and repairs. Work is done on-site by certified gemologists and experienced designers.
