Best Italian food west of NYC! – Morettis's is the best Italian food I've had outside NYC. The sauce is amazing, the pasta always tender...and the deserts!!! The cannoli and cheesecake are made by Tommy Moretti's mother...WOW!!! Big servings, enough to share, and absolutely yummy! The servers are always polite and knowledgable about the specials, and the ambience is very conducive to a wonderful evening.
great service from start to finish – you would never guess that this italian restaurant located in a simple strip mall would have such lavish decor and excellent service. our wait was not long, and we were continually acknowledged as we waited for our table. we visited the bar for a drink as we waited and the bartender was very knowledgeable and was able to suggest a new wine that we never would've have tried on our own, and were pleased we took his suggestion. i ordered the manicotti, and though it was immensely appetizing, i made the mistake of filling up on their wondeful bread and butter (i am still trying to figure out what is in that butter)! of course, nothing could keep me from trying the tiramisu, but alas, they were out. i went back the following week and ordered it first!
This family name is synonymous with lavish, traditional Italian cooking. – In Short
While located inside a less-than-attractive strip mall, the interior is lavish and contemporary, a good bet for romantic dates and family gatherings. Veal Moretti is the signature dish; the huge breaded cutlet is covered with melted mozzarella and served over a bed of fresh-cut fettuccini in mushroom-cream sauce. Pasta primavera is another great standard, and the hearty lasagna, meatballs and house-made marinara demand a good Chianti. The menu also offers steak, seafood and a variety of chicken entrees.
Awesome – Moretti's is surely one of the best Italian restaurants in town. The first time we went I thought it was a little pricey, but the food truly is outstanding, and the portions are enormous (you can quite easily fill up on the bread and house salad alone). The service is great (easy on the eyes too!). It can get very crowded at weekends, and is often rather noisy.
Good food; would go again – The food was great and portions large. The restaurant is small and can get crowded quickly. The service was very professional.
Lost me at the door – After hearing great things about this restaurant, my wife, children and I tried to dine there recently only to walk out after waiting in the entry for service. It wasn't the wait so much as the heavy, intense, suffucating amount of smoke from both cigarettes and cigars filling the waiting area. When you couple the inability to breathe with waiting for 5 minutes for someone to seat you, its a losing proposition. We literally had to drive to another restaurant with the windows down to air out our clothes. And it was 5 degrees outside. The restaurant may be good, but I'll never know, because they lost me before I even got the chance to try. Oh, one other thing.......I smoke!
the best food ever – Morettis is by far the best italian food, the best value and the best service. The portions are amazingly big for the cost, I can take a meal home and have leftovers for 2 days after.
Tommy Moretti knows how to prepare a meal to satisfy every craving!
Chow Itialia! – This is by far the best Italian fare in ohio and possibly in North America! Tommy Moretti is a pasta prodigy! This place servers up traditional Italian in a cozy setting, everything is fresh and homemade. Best of all you won't go away hungry. The staff is knowledgable and attentive.
Don't Pass Up Moretti's!!! – We went to Moretti's for our Valentine's Dinner. I was more than impressed. The ambiance was perfect, we were promptly seated. Our server was spectacular. We were never out of fluid, our dishes discretely disappeared. She seemed genuinely excited by the dishes. I always feel more comfortable at a restaurant where the servers appreciate the food. The food was divine...from the appetizer to the dessert. Everyone was so friendly. We will be sure to go back as soon as we can!
Poor Service – From the moment I walked in the door until I left everyone was unattentive. We had a reservation, but when we arrived we were told we would have to wait. 25 minutes later we were seated. While were were waiting a women came in clutching a tiny dog and proceeded to trot around the resturant with this dog in tow. She was not only allowed to do so, but was encouraged to do so by the staff because the dog was "cute". It took over two and a half hours to serve our dinner and get us our check. The waitress came back to check on us all of four times during that time. The food, however, was amazing. This was my first time here and I had heard wonderful things about it. Perhaps this was just a bad night, but if it was, it was a REALLY bad night.
