Great toy store.
I couldn't let this store get just one poorly rated review, satisfied customers can write reviews too. It's not the stores fault you didn't have a receipt, there are other toys r us stores in the area it could have come from and without a receipt they should have no obligation to refund you anything.
I enjoy this store very much, I've made it a tradition to take my young cousin and nephew there to pick out their own presents from me on their birthdays. I can always find someone willing to help and I'm pretty sure most of the employees have kids or just know way too much about toys because we can explain commercials and they will know exactly what we're talking about.
During the holiday season you may run into the uninformed college seasonal worker or a hot item being out of stock but other than that I have no complaints and have only had good experiences there. They've even helped me load up large items into my car, and built a bike I didn't have time to!
Buyer Use Caution.
Please use caution when deciding to make a purchase from Toys R Us. This retailer has taken a very UNFRIENDLY consumer approach to customer service. The store manager at the Dublin, OH store refused to allow us to exchange a recent Christmas gift. The box had never been open. The manager said he did NOT have proof the toy came from Toys R Us because we did not have a receipt. To make this even more frustrating, the box was clearly marked "TOYS R US EXCLUSIVE TOY." This toy is ONLY sold at Toys R Us. We didn't want a refund. We only asked for the store to allow for an exchange. The manager flatly refused. Toys R Us has made their choice on customer service and I have made my choice to no longer buy from this retailer. Buyer beware of this retailers approach to customer service.
