Great Steak!!!. My husband and I went for a routine dinner. My husband is a purple heart, vietnam veteran and wore his PH ball cap. The sweet, young waitress offered my husband a free Porterhouse Steak for his service (it was a military holiday) and it was the best steak we have ever eaten!! Moist, tender and easy to cut, great flavor!! We only go here for steak now! Good choice Longhorn that one free steak has kept us coming back time after time! We sincerely recommend the Porterhouse steak and the wonderful, sweet people working there! :))))
Great place, great food, great service.
Just 5 star all the way around.
Can't belive someone would go somewhere for 16 years and get one bad sandwich and stop going????????????.
They must do something right
Don't eat lunch specials at night, You will regret it!. I have been going to this Longhorn Steakhouse for over 16 years. And just recently had a bad experience last Tuesday night, August 16 th 2011. I normally get their Salmon meals and rarely get any kind of sandwichs. I asked the waitress for a shaved prime rib sandwich and she said, we only have that at lunch time, but I will try my best to get it for you and she did. The only thing good on the sandwich was the mushrooms! The meat was tuff and chewy. It was like it was left out and ate my fries of course. On the way out of the restaurant I told her my meat was tuff and she said, Next time tell me right after you eat, not after you paid for it. And she will find out what she can do. Well, You don't have to worry about next time. I just decided, I will start trying other restaurants across the Tuttle Mall and I doubt if I will ever go back to this one. Because all I will think of is Tuff Prime Rib!
National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting..
In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.
Steak. Off I-270 at Tuttles Crossing and across from the Mall. The air was very chilly and they had fans going. Cowboy decor. This is a step up from the usual Chili's or Applebees (which I will not even go to). Better than Bennigans' etc. It is very near the Marriott and corporate housing, so they probably get a lot of out-of-towners on business. Monday night: 1. Beef tips with mushrooms and red wine gravy V. good.--hearty and tasted good. Did not like the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. 2. Steak. We left $41 total with tip. To me that's a little expensive for a week night with no dessert or alcoholic drinks.
Tasty Cow Products.
I didn't get a steak when I went to the local Longhorn (it was lunchtime), but if the burger I had was any indication, the steaks are probably really good too. I had the bacon cheddar burger and it was great. The bread they serve is really tasty as well.
This place is similar to Lonestar or the Roadhouse. A dude ranch atmosphere, yellow fizzy domestic beers, NASCAR on the TVs and country music.
