Too expensive for small portions of average quality food. Having lived in massachusetts, texas, and california, i've been around and have tasted chinese food all over. I've also spent a few years while i was growing up working for a Chinese restaurant in Houston, so i know my Chinese food.

I can't comment on dine-in service because I ordered take out, but here goes:

Unfortunately, I'd have to say look elsewhere if you're looking for a great deal for great food. The food isn't bad, but wasn't anything special... I could have gotten food of the same quality at a Chinese fast food place in a shopping mall. The Mongolian Beef I ordered was filled with green onions and white onions and they really skimped out when it came to the beef. The sesame chicken I ordered was soggy, not crispy as it should be.

The price you pay for each dish should net you a bigger portion. For the amount of food you get, the price should really be in the $7-8 range, not $11-12... I felt really disappointed because I was still hungry after two entrees for two people.

Bottom line, the quality and amount of food you get is NOT worth the price you pay.

super fast service. Windchimes is great, we go here all the time since it's so close so we've had a good number of experiences with them. Eating here sometimes is all over the spectrum but the majority of experiences that we've had have been amazing. Sometimes the staffs want to get you in and out is great and exactly what you need... although other times it can seem like they just want you out of there. Meaning if it's super busy and they can't just get you in and out you're probably going to feel like you're being ignored. The food is wonderful.

The parking lot is terrible though. That whole shopping center has a design problem happening. I'd definitely say Windchimes is a great restaurant and a really great place to go during the week, like a Tuesday night.

My new favorite!. I bought a "Dining out Deal" coupon from for this restaurant. I'm glad I did! This is the best Chinese in the city! The appetizers we tried were seared tuna, and dumplings. The tuna was exquisite, the dumplings good but not great. For an entree we had the beef tenderloin with broccoli and the sea bass with garlic. The sea bass was incredible. These were dishes you woud expect to find at a five star restaurant. What a great deal. We will be back many times. The service was very good. The dining room was a bit warm.

No Jockey Club. I've only dined here once and it was an overall delight, but not spectacular. The ambience was great, considering it was in a strip mall next to crazy jakes (also highly recommended), and the wait staff was excellent. However, my order is very particular... mongolian beef, extra spicy (no peppers though, just the juice), no onions, and rice noodles if not offered. Upon ordering this, I was looked at like I had sh#t on my face, but perhaps it's just because I have big thighs. Nonetheless, they stuck my order and the food was quite good. The meat was pretty tasty, but the sauce was not up to the jockey club standards. Lastly, what's with the size of that parking lot? It's not supposed to work like that man! Go Browns!

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Chinese cuisine specializing in Szechuan cuisine is served at the restaurant that also offers catering and banquet services.
