Customers need to know the truth.

First: They give so much and you are complaining about how small the plates are, how much do you expect to eat!? It's called a regular combo! Go across to the other food places and ask for a plate of food and I'm pretty sure you won't get as much AND they will be on the SAME plate!
Second: if you go to McDonald's do you ask them to put the tomatoes and lettuce on the side??? It's a COMBO it comes together. They are nice enough to be putting the chicken in a cup ON THE SIDE for you when you didn't want it on the plate.
Third: there are so many customers who want it their way, they have to stick to rules or else everyone will want to have it their way. They are only working for minimum wage, they are not there to take ugly attitudes from rude customers who think they are ALWAYS right. And customers are NOT always right.
You can't be going in there expecting 5-star service and food, it’s a FOOD COURT. It's the best food and service I've come across in a food court and the portions are too generous for the price. The food scene is a hard job to handle, not because of the work load but because of bad customers. It's hard to please everyone and it's impossible to. You say that you work at a place that prides itself on customer service, well you became the type of customer i'm pretty sure that you would hate to come across. Because I would hate to come across a customer like you. I'm sure that they will do fine without your business since you are so picky... IT'S A FOOD COURT FOOD STALL!
I've discovered this Big Easy Cajun location after the one in City Center went down with the whole mall. I love Bourbon Chicken and this is the best there is.
HORRIBLE customer service!. Customer service can make or break a business. Even the simplest thing can cause ripples that will have a much larger effect on your business. Because of a bad customer service experience I had, I am posting a review for the Big Easy Cajun on every review site I can. I work at a company that prides itself on customer service and "giving customers the pickle." If you don't know what I mean by "giving customers the pickle", you will in a minute. So I went to the food court at Tuttle Mall and began walking around trying to decide where buy some lunch. I have always enjoyed Burbon Chicken, so I thought I would get some at the Big Easy Cajun. Looking at the menu, I decided on a Regular Combo for 5.95 which comes with a choice of meat, 2 sides, and a choice of rice or noodles. So the server began by pulling out what was a rather small plate for the quantity of food they attempt to put on it. The first thing on my plate was rice, then my 2 sides - I chose potatoes and mac & cheese. At that point, the plate was completely full. I noticed from the customer in front of me, the chicken was then just piled on top of everything, making a complete mess. So when it came time to add my chicken, I asked if they could just put it on a separate plate so everything didn't get mixed together. What happened next just completely blew my mind. They actually pulled out little styrofoam bowl and came right out and told me I could have my chicken in that bowl, but I wouldn't be getting the normal amount. Thinking they didn't understand what I was asking I explained how I wanted the same amount of chicken that I was paying for, just on a separate plate. They then proceeded to tell me that they can't do that and that's now how the combo is, they would have to charge me for the second plate. OK, no problem, so I asked how much the second plate was thinking I'll pay the 10 extra cents or whatever. Instead, they seemed to get more upset with me and offer to put the chicken in the bowl and then give me a separate plate that I could dump my small bowl of chicken on! Figure that one out, folks. I have no idea. At that point, I gave up and said I was taking my business elsewhere. All they had to do was give me the pickle by just putting my chicken on a separate plate and I would have gone on my way a satisfied customer. Instead, they lost my business for good, and hopefully yours, as well. Any business that depends on customers, which is pretty much every business, should not be operating the way this one does. The Big Easy Cajun should not only lose your business, they should be out of business.
Not really cajun but dang good chicken!. It's a food court place but really good. To someone whose never been there it looks like Chinese but the taste isn't at all chinese but not cajun either. I know, confusing. Just get the bourbon chicken and macaroni and cheese and you'll be good to go. This place is 20 minutes away from us and worth the drive.
Great Food. The Bourbon Chicken is great. I've been getting it once a week and recommending it to every one. The portions are huge. I've never finished it all at once. The macaroni and cheese is the best I've ever had. You must get the "jambalaya rice" instead of regular rice, though the rice is sub-par no matter what (I'd rather throw it away than eat the rice by itself). Everyone says it's not really cajun, but it's certainly not Chinese. Note: It's not actually a restaurant, it's a fast food thing in a mall food court (which normally means disgusting food, but not in this case).
Cajun????. This is average chinese food. There is nothing cajun about it. The red beans and rice doesn't even have sauce or sausage with it. It is literally just plain red beans on plain rice. There is nothing cajun about this place except the name. Where did they come up with the idea to name this place after New Orleans?!?!?
