If you're in high school, your parents are willing to throw money at you, and you don't mind losing your hearing, this is your place to shop.
The clothes are "preppy" and do have a distinct style that's been copied by many other companies. It's a cheaper J Crew with a slight beach twist.
The clothes haven't changed much over the last 10 years and I don't imagine they will.
They've been sued numerous times over questionable ethics in hiring and for questionable statements made on their clothing. Search Google to see how many cases they've lost/settled. It seems they consider it a cost of business.
Some of their comments are funny, some are just there for shock factor. If you have a daughter under the age of 16, hope to God that she doesn't want to shop here. If you're a 18-24 college frat boy, I'm sure you know where your local A&F is located.
- Pros: You'll "fit in."
- Cons: Terrible service, mind numbing music, terrible prices, small selection, questionable ethics.
