Delicious Subs! Review of the Polaris Firehouse. The prior review by chris1961should be deleted since it's not a review for Firehouse Subs at Polaris.

I found the employees at the Polaris location to be friendly and eager to provide good service. The sub was delicious and prepared as requested. I've been a repeat customer at this location and have never experienced a problem. Those in a rush that can't wait to have their order prepared properly should call ahead to place their order

Weird menu, bad service, over priced, and not very good. This is for the %th Ave store...

Wow, sorry I even walked in this place. I ordered the Italian combo. First, who puts mustard and mayo on an Italian sub? They do, and they dont even list on their menu! I asked for no mayo and mustard, and while they did exclude that, they didnt add the dressing and hot peppers I had asked.

They had about 8 people working, and I was only one out of two customers in the store, but the wait was over 10 minutes! It looks like they toast the buns, but steam the meat/cheese separately, then "build" them together, however, by the time I got back to my office (5 minutes away) the whole sub was luke warm at best.

I also ordered the small (half sub) combo, which includes a small bag of chips and a drink. Sorry, but $8+ for a small sub and small bag of chips is way too much. Go get yourself 4 things off Wendy's value meal menu, and put the other 4 bucks back in your pocket.

And the sub is just not that good. The steaming process basically heats the meat up with water, then makes the bun soggy before it cools. Very unappetizing indeed.

I dont mean to come down on these guys...they are obviously successful, as this is a large franchise chain from Florida (I believe) that has recently arrived in Columbus, but I just dont care for it in any way. I want my subs toasted or baked...we wont be going back.
