not bad, not exceptional.
went on a date there... the food was not bad by any means, but was not anything mind-blowing. went for dinner and it was rather dead there. i did enjoy my meal, and the total for the two of us was under 35 (didn't have any alcohol). it is truly like an olive garden as far as pricing and menu/food, but doesn't have that corporate feel olive garden does and people try avoiding on first dates (and doesn't have awfully horrendous commercials like the olive garden)
overall satisfied, but would probably not drive out of my way to go again.
Great place to dine in Dublin!!!. My fiance and I ate there in September. Actually it was the night of my birthday when he proposed at LaScala. He had raving reviews about the staff and they were all very friendly. The food was great and we had leftovers from dinner that night. He ordered the tortellini and I had the chicken saltimbocca, and both were very good! We hav plans to go there for Valentine's Day this year too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
awesome, awesome, awesome!!! great food.. just don't go ona friday or saturday night. They have wonderful entertainment, but make a reservation,, it's a must. The restaurant will sell out, and dissapointment will set in. Great food, delicious food, great cocktails and great atmosphre. Everyone is extra friendly, makes you feel loyal to the restaurant.
WOW! What an awesome dinner.. I have lived in Dublin for 10 years but never made it to La Scala; that was until last night. The restaurant was seating by reservation only but the cocktail area had one last table available, so I took it. The atmosphere was incredible with the lighting, the music, and the holiday decor. Our server was courteous, eager to accomodate us, and was a joy to be around. (Shelby). My guest requested a special order of Gnocchi with the primavera vegetables. It was cooked perfectly. I had the Chicken Marsala. It was the best I ever had. The sauce, the mushrooms, the chicken breasts, the garlic mashed potatoes. I am ready to go back right now. If you have never been to La Scala, you're missing out. What a treat. Bon Appetit!
Not as good as it looks. The 3 Dining Divas were out again tonight and we decided to patron this establishment. We went excited, but left very disappointed. The waitress recommended the garlic bread with provolone cheese. It was a sub bun with cheese that was baked and then sliced (there was no garlic). Worst we have ever had. We told our waitress and she did not know how to respond (we did pay for it). One out of 3 dishes was good, and it was the Penne and Chicken Ballini. The other dishes: Mushroom Ravioli (very bland) and Tortalinni Alfredo (very salty). At one point, we asked for more coffee. We were given coffee that had been sitting on a shelf for some time and was cold. We then thought about getting dessert. However, we decided to save our money because we were not impressed with the food or this establishment. We considered this restaurant to be a wolf in sheeps clothing. From the outside it looks nice and the patrons are well dressed, but the service and food were horrible. The 3 Dining Divas will not return. Beware of the wolf.
The best resturaunt I have ever been to!. This is by far the best resturaunt I have ever been to, my expectations were met with flying colours. The food is great, afordable, timely and very clean place of business. Unbelievable!
