Tips for Obetz Animal Hospital

February 10, 2013

Lol @ the guy below who complains about the price, says he wants the best for his cat, and then takes his cat to a rural vet that treats livestock. My grandfather used to raise cattle, and I don't think a vet that's used for castrating bulls on a regular basis is as good as a vet specializing in cats and dogs, atleast for my cats and dogs. Especially considering cats are considered small animals, and are typically more expensive to have surgery on. I went to this vet, on a emergency basis (my dog just fatally injured herself in the backyard). This vet saved my dog's life, and their aftercare is amazing. It wasn't over priced, and was very competitive with all the other vet hospitals in the greater Columbus Ohio area. If you're cheap, and want a vet that works on horses and cattle to take care of your dog or cat, do what the guy below suggests. If you want the best care, by vets that are good at what they do, and will see you at a drop of hat, take them to Obetz. I've been going here for years, and they are the best.

Over Priced, Ridiculous, Exorbitant, Unreasonable, Excessive. Called Obetz Animal Hospital to check pricing on having a male cat neutered. This cat we took in as a baby stray and have taken care of it for almost a year. Now that it is a maturing male we wanted to have him neutered.

$392.00 Service Fee – Really?

Upon calling and speaking with one of their representatives, they stated that they would need to catch the cat up on all of their recommended shots before even looking at the cat. Additionally they described the procedure as having to have blood work done prior to the neutering as well as the IV fluids they give the animal during the surgery.

While the health of the animal is important, what is this an Animal Day Spa in Beverly Hills? NO! Called a couple of rural veterinarians that handle farm livestock and peoples businesses. Less than 100!

They do seem to care about the animals almost as much as the money.

Stay away! Over Priced, Ridiculous, Exorbitant, Unreasonable, Excessive
