My family had the best time at this hotel. they had everything to keep you busy rain or shine! my son enjoyed the indoor water park while me and my husband ate dinner at one of the restauraunts located inside the hotel, the only thing i would do is place it in an easier to find location BUT that would not deter me from going their again, GREAT IDEA to put a water park in the hotel

Love It,Best Place Ever!. I have loved Fort Rapids! I have went there about 5 or 6 times and it's the best I have never experienced anything wrong. My parents love it and soo does my little brother!(:

BED BUGS!!!!!!!. We're not ones to complain, I don't want you to read this and think that we're the type to go somewhere and pick it apart, we usually over look a lot but we could not and will not ever overlook bed bugs!!! We stayed March 9th – 11th and found 4 bed bugs in our room. They refunded our money and we had them wash and dry all our belongings in their high heat dryers before taking our things home in hopes of not taking them with us and left anything that couldn’t be washed at the hotel and purchased new…we then stopped at a local laundry mat and washed them and dried them for 2 hrs longer to make sure we didn’t take any critters home with us. I would caution anyone staying here if they don’t want to deal with the nightmare of getting rid of bed bugs. We’ve not seen any at home so far but we’re still on edge looking for them like mad. We also had the other problems mentioned by other people like the place being trashy, the help being shady and it being located in the middle of the ghetto, long waits at the elevators, phone in our room didn’t work and so on and so on…we will be purchasing a mobile home and never again stay in another hotel EVER!!

Manage Your Expectations. The Front desk, water park, and room service were above average. There were kids screaming in the halls of the 11th floor until 1:00a.m. The room was clean on the surface, just don't look under the bed - disgusting. The toilet was broken and the in-room phone did not work. No HBO as advertized. The Restaurant struggled to keep up with the number of patrons for the breakfast buffet. They only had one server, a cook, and a manager that was in and out. Many of us left after an hour without the items we were told would be replenished which never arrived. I felt bad for the server who did her best despite the poor planning on managements part.

Horrible Managment and Experience. We will never enter this facility ever again.

They severely overcharged our account then procastinated for two weeks before refunding what was overcharged. The manager promised to contact our finanacial institution so that overdraft fees could be dropped. The promise was never carried out. This occured the first week of August. It is now the 1st week of October an management for Fort Rapids has still failed to return any of our messages or emails. I find it somewhat amusing that they think that this issue will be brushed under the rug if they continue to ignore it.

I should have listen to my acquaintances when they warned me about the management for Fort Rapids. We also saw roaches in two of our three rooms.

We will never stay in this hotel again.

Outstanding Job. The staff at Ft. Rapids did an outstanding job for our annual conference.

It was nice having the management staff and chef take such an active part to insure the conference was a success.

The guest room rates were affordable, free parking - not the case for most conference centers around downtwon Columbus, free internet, and the food received favorable reviews from conference participants.

Fort Rapids is Great!. Fort Rapids is great. I have been to Fort Rapids several times and have never encountered nothing that the negative reviews that are posted here says. People who have enough time to try to pick out all of the negative and never list the positive things really make it hard for people who want to visit the resort for the first time. My family & i always have a great time everytime that we go and quite honestly i can't wait for the summer so that we can return. We go every year twice a year and that has been for the last 2 years. My kids always have a great time and really that is all that matters, after all it is a family place. For those people who want to visit Fort Rapids I highly recommend it after all it is adults that post these negative remarks I am sure that their children wouldn't agree. As a mother of 2 I give Fort Rapids 2 thumbs up!!!

Will recommend. This was our second trip to the resort our first was just two weeks ago. We had an exceptionally wonderful time. The staff are extremely courteous and overall just friendly people. Let me tell you, If I would have had to endure some of the abusive language that these staff members had to put up with from some rude guest members....I do not believe I could be that patient or kind. Overall, what I witnessed was staff doing there job and trying to lookout for safety of the guests overall. Wonderful place, and we live about 3 hours away. You cannot beat the deals that they offer for families and in this economic hard times we all need a real good deal. I will certainly go back and will recommend as I have to my friends.
