Wonderful Mediterranean Food. I visited the restaurant last night and it was amazing. I was a little uncomfortable picking my own table (not used to it) but it was wonderful food with amazing flavors. If you are wanting to try something new, this would be the place to try.

OUTSTANDING -. OUTSTANDING -

If your on the West side of Columbus or passing through on route 70 you must stop in. The food is OUTSTANDING, drive right passed all the chain restaurants on Hilliard-Rome rd and go to Olive Tree. You will not be disappointed.

YUMMY. I love The Olive Tree and it has become one of my favorite places to eat or to order takeout. The service is wonderful and the food... OMG. So good. I haven't ordered anything that I wasn't completely happy with. My favorites are anything they have that is spicy, including the recent addition of the fire fries. I get cravings for them. Overall you just can't miss at this place. The food is terrific, the service is friendly and the prices are really good for the portions that you get.

Fabulous Food!. Terrific food, including the best hummus and baba ghanoush ever! I went with a large group, and everyone kept saying, "This is so good!" Finally, I said, "Is there anyone whose food is not fabulous?" and no one responded. Friendly service, light-filled space, delicious food, low prices. What a deal!

Hidden Treasure Found in Columbus Ohio. This is a small restaurant with only a few tables and a very intimate atmosphere, especially after the sun goes down, and this place has it all. The owners (David and Tammy) are wonderfully nice and really make an effort to stop at every table, especially if they see a new face. The staff are friendly and helpful and all seem happy to work in this great place. The food smells great as soon as you walk in the door.

All this is great, but what about the food? This little gem of an establishment has a large menu selection with a lot of variety. Some of the items are completely original creations of the owners and some are traditional dishes with personal flair. With such a small staff and such a large menu, it would be easy to assume that there might be only a few gems among a sea of mediocrity, but this is not so. Each and every dish that David and his staff prepares is amazing. We have had the opportunity to try more than half of the vegetarian (which are mostly vegan) dishes (of which there are a large variety) and David NEVER misses. And the non-vegetarian dishes are equally as amazing according to our friends. Simply put this place has AMAZING FOOD! We even order some to take home for the next day and it is still great then.

We have taken our kids and they loved everything from the pita to the mushroom barley soup, the machmusa to the mujadara, the falafel to the hummus, the baba ganouj to the Veggiterranean pizza. And if you love baklava, this is the place to get it. Did I mention the Pita? PITA! My personal favorite is the matmucha:sweet, tangy and spicy on the warm pita: it is a mouthful of awesome (our son put it this way).

If you are looking for something new, try this place, you will be in love immediately. If you love Mediterranean food, you must try this place, you will not be disappointed. This is our new favorite restaurant and we are taking our friends this weekend.

Yum!. Wanted something different, found this place on citysearch, discovered a treasure.

The new wheat, barley, and (um, I forget, some other stuff) soup was tremendous, and the hummus was very good, of course. My wife had the moussaka, which made me think of Mediterranean lasagna, and I enjoyed the chicken mujadara. Impressed with the friendly owners and a welcoming eating experience, we'll be going back there! (must...eat...more...pita...)You'll find out why David's friends demanded he open a restaurant!

A wonderful restaurant!. This restaurant is such a great find. The delicious menu offers a variety of foods for all types of patrons. The gyro sandwiches are by far the best I have ever had, and the gyro sauce is absolutely wonderful, For a real treat, I definitely recommend the Moussaka because the wonderful blend of spices and ingredients make it such a delightful dish. I have also tried the chicken shawarma, and it is such a flavorful dish that compliments well with the hummus and warm pita bread. For dessert, the rice pudding is a must have. I always order an extra one to go! In addition, the warm and inviting atmosphere make this restaurant a great place for a cozy dinner for two or a family gathering. The friendly and attentive staff really enhance the overall dining experience with their warm and courteous service. I cannot wait until my next trip.

Awesome food and friendly staff. I've been to The Olive Tree now 5 or 6 time and have really enjoyed the food. The hummus and tzatziki are a must have. The gyro and kafta sandwiches are both delicious! And the seasoned fries are to die for, especially when dipped in a side of the gyro sauce. Looking forward to my next visit. If you haven't been then you need to go!!!

Excellent food, inconsistent service. I was fast becoming a regular at The Olive Tree. Their food is delicious, fresh and a fantastic value for your money. The lunch staff is ever so friendly. And most of the times, especially when the owners are present, the evening service is great. However, you can always tell when they are not there because the service drops a few (considerable) notches. On our last (and it will be our last) visit, we were told to sit anywhere to then be told coarsely that our seating choice had been reserved (unmarked) by the people on the adjacent booth and that we weren't allowed to sit there. We were then told we would have to wait for them to clean some tables (the place was not full) and put them together (we were a party of 5). Their attitude was awful (rolled eyes, smarmy comments among the servers) and it was a no-brainer that we were not going to stay. It is a pity because the food is really great.

Loved the Gyro!!!. I love gyros and have had them in many places, but this was the best one I have ever had--the gyro sauce was outstanding. It looks to me that this has become a very popular place. Can't wait to go back and get the greek salad.
