It just keeps getting better at this salon. I've been going to Ambushed for over a year now and I have nothing but good reviews. The people are wonderful and my hair always looks fantastic.

Until I found this salon, I had never come out of a salon liking the way my hair looked. I normally have to put my hair up after getting it cut, but the first time I walked out of Ambushed, I was thrilled with the results. My curls looked great all day. And I was pleasantly surprised when they looked just as good the next day. Now, every time I go back, it gets even better as Amy gets to know me and my hair more and more.

After a lifetime of bad haircuts, it's great not to have to worry about that anymore.

Mandi Rocks!!! If you have curly hair this is the place to go for a great haircut. I've been there three times and got a great cut each time. Ambushed Salon gets it, it's the only salon that really understands curly hair and how to handle it. Last Saturday I had 10+ inches of hair cut off and I absolutely love my hair and this cut. It's so fun and funky and Mandi's a miracle worker, she tamed my curls and somehow made my hair curlier and no frizz at all. I'm using the products she recommended and I am getting the same results she did. I love my hair, I can't say it enough!!! I have been looking for years (really!) for someone who understands curly hair and how to cut it and I finally found a salon dedicated to us curly girls. I will never go anywhere else, and I live an hour away. Well worth the drive and my time.

The salon is classy without being stuffy, casual and welcoming. I must admit the three times I have been there I've had a minimum of 30 minutes wait but that's not a big deal to me. I understand that beautiful hair takes time and when it's my turn my stylist will take as much time as she needs to work her magic on me! (Bring your Kindle/Nook and the time will fly by, just like you do when you go to the doctors office!!) Some things are just worth the wait.

great cut/color...but the rest is disappointing. I have mixed feelings about Ambushed Salon. My hair looks fantastic, but my experiences have been less than stellar.

If you get an appointment first thing in the morning I guarantee you Amy will be late.

Don't plan anything for most of the day because a cut and color takes 3+ hours. Every time.

You have to pay for parking. If you don't already live downtown and have to commute the drive is a &*(%$.

The salon is well decorated and extremely stylish, comfortable and high end looking, but it's not real clean. I have no idea about equipment sanitization or anything, but the floor/chair always has a ton of hair on it.

With all that being said, I've never recieved a better haircut or color from anyone in all my life. If you're willing to put up with the negatives... you'll leave there extremely annoyed but looking AWESOME.

Never Going Again. I went to Ambushed because I heard about a deal an intern was doing for 10 dollar cuts and 10 dollar colors. Because I am a broke college student, this deal really wowed me. My mom always spoke highly of Amy's salon and I was excited to go.

I understand that going from red hair to blonde hair is a bit tricky, but I was there for 6 and a half hours. This is more than 1/4 of a day. The girl did not seem to know what she was doing and she wasn't super friendly. In the end, I was charged 75 dollars for the do I was anticipating to be 20. Never going back again. I was really really disappointed.

Charita is exceptional. Charita has cut my hair into short layers three times now, and each time I leave the salon with an exceptional haircut. Charita is not only detail-oriented and professional but also warm and friendly.

Every day I leave the house with wet hair, bike with a helmet 30 min. to work, and my hair still looks great all day -- all thanks to Charita. She also shapes my brows, and I am always happy with the result.

In summary, Charita's work makes me feel pretty and confident. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Charita is an Awesome stylist. For anyone with curly hair, I highly suggest going to this salon! It was my first visit to this salon, where Charita cut and styled my hair to perfection!

I have very curly hair that was highly in need of a good haircut!! The stylist, Charita Nunery was soooooo helpful in listening to what I wanted done to my hair, and in making informative suggestions. She suggested a glaze for my hair, to help maximize shine and even out my hair tone. Then she listened to the fact that I wanted my hair short, and cut it in a PERFECT style for my face shape and hair type!! Charita did an AMAZING job, and I am so so happy with my new cut!!!!! She is a GREAT stylist!!!!!

Amy's the Best. Amy has been cutting my hair for 16 years, now. I don't have curyly hair, I have short fairly straight hair. My hair always looks absolutely great up until it's time for me to have it cut again. The people she has working with her are as attentive and professional as she is. I look forward to my appointments not only because I love to have my hair cut, but also to interact with the people at the salon. This is a wonderful place with exceptional people.

The first cut wasn't a fluke :). I just got back from my second haircut at Ambushed Salon, and it's even better then the first one! I didn't think that could be possible, considering that the first cut Amy gave me gave my curls such an amazing transformation that my own family members didn't recognize me at our Holiday Party. But with the new cut, my curls are even fuller and curlier than the last time, and the shape is amazing! And just like the last time, the whole experience was incredibly pleasant and fun. Everyone at Ambushed Salon is so warm and friendly, it makes me feel like I'm hanging out at a friend's house (and it would be a friend with great taste and style, because the Salon is decorated so well). I'm really looking forward to the hair party my friends and I are going to have at Ambushed!

Amy, thanks for another great experience! I even walked home in the rain and it didn't have any negative effects on the incredible cut you gave me :)

AMY ROCKS. I have worn my hair in a boring bob forever - she'd always done a great cut...but recently I decided to let her experiment. The result - a GREAT cut that's easy to care for and naturally wavy - who knew??? I get compliments on my cut every time I go out. Amy really knows her stuff and is consistently perfect. Straight or curly - she's the best!!!
