dont waste your time. I was greeted by the host at the door like I was a bother. I actually just stood there for a while while he walked around me seeming too busy to ask me how many in my party. After finally getting a table and being made to feel like I owed them something for it, I was again disappointed by the bad table service mediocre food and overpriced cocktails. If you want a good meal with good service and friendly people, dont go to the tip top.

This place is fun!. So after searching Columbus for decent comfort food and being disappointed every time (Cap City, I'm looking at you), I tried Tip Top on the recommendation of a server at another restaurant. Tip Top was loud but not overwhelming, cluttered but in an authentic (read: not Applebee's), comfortable way, and relaxed. The service was great and the vegetarian remixes of comfort classics were amazingly tasty and indulgent. I haven't had French onion soup in over five years because it is always made with beef stock, but Tip Top made it vegetarian, and it was every bit as rich and wonderful as I remember. I also got the vegetarian "roast beef" sandwich with sweet potato fries, and it was all great. My boyfriend got a country fried steak and was not as thrilled. His steak was overcooked and his sides were cold. We'll definitely go back, though, as everything about it was really welcoming and the prices were manageable for not-so-special occasions.
