The restaurant is owned by a nice Indian couple. They always recognize me now, and it's sweet. He's always pretty helpful and friendly.
I've been to this place on multiple occasions and would recommend to anyone who's interested in great Indian cuisine
We happened to come here during the power outages from Hurricane Sandy. They continued to cook our food, in the DARK, (there were no lights in the kitchen), while all of us paying customers waited silently in the front with bated breath.
The cooks kept their composure and everything came out and still tasted delicious.
LIKE A BOSS.
The servings were generous, the prices small, and the flavors large! The meats were tender, the shrimp perfectly cooked, and that vindaloo made my eyeballs sweat! If you like it tasty and blissfully painful, check these folks out.
I ordered garlic naan, samosas, shrimp vindaloo, and chicken curry for the boyfriend. The shrimp vindaloo was excellent, with a pretty generous portion of shrimp and sizable enough that I ate it for lunch the next day too. The samosas were great - I've had some pretty crappy samosas in Columbus, so I was glad these actually had some flavor.
The food is fantastic. The customer service is proficient without being phoney. I studied Indian food preparation with a member of a royal household from Northern India. Trust me, this is the real deal. Every item I have had from here was superior in texture, quality and taste. Gourmet Indian Food the way it is supposed to be.
Indian is my favorite food as well, and I have eaten at many Indian restaurants, and I highly recommend Curry and Hurry. I can say with total confidence that there are several dishes here that are just as good as the best Indian I've had elsewhere. Although Taj Mahal is very good and very fresh, the flavor at Curry and Hurry is better. I especially recommend the chicken dopyaza, chicken sabzi, and chicken jalfarezie.
Delivery – I had food delivered to my house and the owner of the restaurant tried to kiss my wife. Need I really say more?
There was an INSECT in my food – My saag paneer, while tasty, had something crunchy in it. I spat it out, and it had LEGS. I'm not overly fussy, but this thing was almost 1/2 inch long--how do you miss that in a creamy dish? On a postiive note, they were quick to refund my money when I went back and showed them the leggy addition. In less insecty-news, my partner had tandoori chicken: rather tasteless and very very dry. I won't go back.
