BOMA is now THE BLUESTONE. BOMA is no more. And good for that. However, the same beautiful building is now open under the name The Bluestone. I recently bought tickets online for a concert for an up and coming band that my 20 year old son likes and did not realize in doing so, that I was buying tickets to the venue that was once called BOMA. We went to the show and not only were the headlining and opening bands impressive (mainly according to my son) but the atmosphere was unique, inviting, interesting and friendly. I stopped one of the staff during the event and asked about the change from BOMA to The Bluestone. I was told that the building was no longer used as a bar/restaraunt facility but is strictly for high end private and public events, like the concernt we attended, weddings and things of that nature. At any rate, I had never been when it was still BOMA but I had heard bad things. I have to say the change of name and use of building must be an improvement because we had a great experience. Everything from the music, the atmosphere, the drinks and service was top knotch.…

Boma suddenly turned ghetto....
Boma should change its name to BOGA for suddenly going from Bar of Modern Art to "Bar of Ghetto Art".
Honestly, they advertise on Power 107, which is a ghetto hip hop and rap station. The people who listen to this include ghetto trash, drug dealers and the occasional preppy white person who think's he's a drug dealer (or may only be a petty college drug dealer) and their "hoes".
There is nothing good about this place except the fact that it was once a beautiful looking church. I'm sure whatever Gods this place once catered to must have long abandoned it...…
I would Pass !!. Boma use to be a really fun place to go. We went there in April for a friends Birthday her and I had several shots when we first walked in the door and about a half hr later we didnt even have a buzz so we just kept doing more & more shots. I would say we prob. done close to 15shots a peice and when we left that night we were walking straight . Which means they were not putting much liquer in are shots and the shots are about $7 a peice . We both weigh under 120 so at any other bar we would have been barely walking. In July I called and got VIP for my fiance birthday come to find out the main floor wasn't even open which makes no scense to me. So we had to hang out on the patio all night where the D.J ONLY played tecno music and when I req. something else he said sure no problem but never played any of my request. Just last Sat my friends went and said they had a terrible time she said again they only played tecno and the crowed was very different & diverse. I wont go back to Boma because I dont like tecno and I like to get atleast buzzed if I'm paying that much for drinks .…
