Corporate dining on High St, but hey, it's still pretty good – The menu is extensive, and not unlike some large chains. That said, there are some selections that stand out: I really like the steak salad with blue chees (served Pittsburgh style with fries), the burgers are solid, and the deep-fried chocolate lava cake is a thousand caloires of artery-clogging goodness. Speaking of deep-fried, you can pretty much get deep fried everything here, which, after a few cold ones, shounds pretty good.
Go Bucks! – Always a pleasant experience. Specials are good and reasonably priced. We had our Christmas Party @ Eddie's last year and we had good food and a good time. AAA+++
My family recently had dinner at Eddie George's Grille 27--just a great experience all around!
Fast seating, friendly efficient waiters, great atmosphere, and gee, what a surprise, fantastc food! We were all stuffed and had plenty to take home for lunch the next day!
Try the great huge platter of nachos, chili, mac and cheese, meatloaf, salads, pasta, wraps, clubs,--we didn't get steak or seafoood, but did order a little of everything else and the kitchen should be Buckeye Proud!! We will return! Can't wait for football season!! great job to the whole staff at Eddie's! Go Bucks!!
Avoid at all costs!!!! – Let me tell you about my first time at Eddie's grill on December 28, 2006. As a current OSU student, I was expecting a great experience at this restaurant especially with all of the excitement surrounding the current Buckeyes and their successful season this year. However, the trip to this restaurant was in simple terms a disaster. The food and service were okay. I won't say great because I've had better at McDonalds. The problems started when we received our bills. First of all the menu does not state that the cheese is extra with the Turkey Burger but we were charged 0.99 cents. Secondly, two separate bills had the identical sub-total of $9.69, but the sales tax was calculated differently. One bill was a total of $10.23 and the other was $10.13. The only difference was the cheese on the burger, one with swiss and one with blue cheese. Now I don't know if the cheeses are taxed differently, but it would be nice to know. But things got worse. We kindly asked our waiter if he could explain some of these discrepancies. He went ahead and looked for his manager which took 45 minutes. When he returned he stated that he could not find his manager. Although we asked to speak to the manager, he never came to our table. Another 45 minutes later, when the waiter returned with our change (which he calculated wrong and tried to jip us 10 dollars each, not to mention that my total bill was $12.47 and I received $38.50 so the waiter took it upon himself to round up my check) he stated he had told the manger that about the sales tax discrepancy and the manager had stated " I don't know what's going on." In the end I was overcharged for a turkey burger with cheese and had to pay a very suspicious extra sales tax. So why am I complaining over a couple of cents? I just think that being a restaurant that focuses on our great Bucks that they should be more willing to take care of each individual customer instead of concentrating on turning over tables.
