Full of hookers stay away! Randy barnette
IT'S THE SMALL DETAILS THAT REALLY MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!.
We stayed at the German Village Guest house for my boyfriend's birthday. We were greeted to a nice, chilled bottle of champagne. (If you are celebrating a special day or event, don't forget to mention it when making your reservation!) The rooms, the house and the yard are so cool that we felt more like we were in a hip NYC neighborhood than Columbus. We took a short stroll up the street to Barcelona for dinner. Barcelona is a nice and hip neighborhood restaurant just a block or two away from the Guest House.
After dinner, we hurried back to the Guest House so we could soak up all the luxurious surroundings and share a bottle of wine in the beautiful garden. The kitchen was well stocked with an assortment snacks and beverages. Our room had the most comfortable bed, linens and pillows on the planet! The artwork is impressive. They didn't miss a thing - and, in fact, thought of things you may not have considered! (Don't miss the darling rubber duckies in the bathroom!)
This place isn't your typical bed and breakfast. Rather, it's a super cool house in a really charming, walking neighborhood. Although we were not the only guests for the night, we never did actually see or hear the other couple except briefly in the kitchen the next morning. Speaking of the kitchen, although it was well stocked with an assortment of snacks, beverages and breakfast items, we were really surprised that even beyond that, a little house elf snuck in before we arose and brewed a nice, hot caraffe of coffee and dropped off delicious fresh baked coffeecake, bagels, pastries and a beautiful bowl of fresh berries!
The German Village Guest House is an over-the-top, didn't miss a detail, kick butt place to stay if you are ever looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. We highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit!!
