Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Caribbean and Southern cooking is served at the cozy restaurant that offers live music and a variety of desserts.
The best atmosphere in town. I have been in Columbus for three years and have found it to be a better city than I thought I must say that once I went to Brownstone I saw what the this city could be. The place reminded me of being in New York or D.C.. The food was great and service very good. The thing that makes the place is the food combined with the music. We ate upstairs and went downstairs to hear a very good band. The best thing about the evening was we did not get there until 11:30pm and were still able to eat from the main menu. This city needs more of that late night experince. I will be going to Brownstone on a regular basis.…
A little skeptical about soulfood in columbus...Walked away impressed.. A little skeptical about soulfood in columbus...But we walked away impressed. Pre-included gratuity. The bill comes with 18% gratuity already included and it's very easy to overlook it and "double-tip" the server by mistake. Theywould not take it out if you call them later asking them to take it out. The food and atmosphere was decent, but I would not go back for that reason.…
What a Mistake!. We went to Brownstone on main with 6 people. We were put in a room all by ourselves on a upper level floor where our waitress rarely came around, and we couldn't order a drink without standing and waiting for the elevator, taking the elevator down and then back up. The food was rubbery and cold, and the bill was expensive for the bad food and bad service we endured. I think we would have enjoyed the atmosphere if we were in the general seating area, but the food was really really bad. Better off going to Flatiron or Braddocks for similar dishes.…
