I too have had less than stellar visits with this company. For some reason my home warranty carrier insists on using this outfit which is ashame. I currently have some hot water heater issues going on and of course they can't schedule me for this afternoon.....or tomorrow afternoon....or anytime it seems. In my three visits, I have had one gentlemen who was the least bit helpful/respectful/knowledgeable. And of couse, he had to come out for a follow up visit after the first guy dropped the ball. It is too bad that those with AHS are pretty much stuck with this crew if they have issues. Might have to bite the bullet and go outside of my warranty. A Water Solution = JOKE of a business.
I cant even give them a star. I was referred to them by my home warranty company AHS because my water heater wldnt stay lit. The tech comes out says the water heater is dirty and that is why it wont stay lit. Tech came out three times spent a total of 15 minutes and always came to the same conclusion. He then gave me the prices he wld charge me for installing a new one. I talked to a friend of mine who does maintence for a country club and he told me that diagnosis didnt sound right, I called my friend out who is a plumber and he told me the dirty water heater diagnosis was crap. My gas valve needed to be replaced.
NEver have them come!. This company was sent to us by AHS ( my home warranty_ for the fact my ceiling was leaking after I showered. He came in. Barely muttered hello and headed up my stairs without putting anything on his shoes....or offering to take them off. (my home is new!) THEN he just walked in my bathroom laughed...walked down stairs, poked a hole in MY CEILING with his finger....and told me it wasn't covered and he wanted 650. I only gave him the 60.00 and I'm going with a more personable company!
I wouldn't pick them!. They were sent to us by American Home Shield yesterday after the basement floor drain backed up. So far, as far as I know, the drain is open now, but the guy who showed up was completely lacking in customer service skills. He was rather sullen, hardly spoke a word, and was rude when asked about what we could do in terms of preventative measures. He was quite the contrast to the fellow from Mr. Rooter that we hired ourselves a few months ago who was very polite and helpful.
Do not call or use this company.
7/30/2011 If I could, I wouldn't even give this company one star. Very bad experience with this company. Our home warranty company sent them over for a ruptured water heater. The tech who came to the door said hello, I'm here for the water heater, and I need your check. The check is our warranty deductible. My home is very new, within 10 years. He made a laundry list of "upgrades" that are no longer compliant and stated these $500+ in items will not be covered by the warranty company, so I should write a check to them. He manhandled the valve that allows water into the tank and broke it. He played it off saying it wasn't compliant to building standards and it needed to be replaced anyway, which will run another $75+ labor. Big time scam from these guys. They have my deductible, but that is it.
Also, this company came out on a Thursday, and didn't call in the claim until Friday. I had to turn the water off to the entire house, and here we are on Saturday with no solution. I called Atlas/Butler this morning. They came with a FREE estimate and will replace, fix, and repair everything TODAY.
As a consultant who understands the importance of customer service, seeing this company still in business boggles my mind. Conduct your research, skip this company, and move on.
Do not use this company. I had a bad experience with a plumbing contractor used by American Home Shield. The company is "A Water Solution, Inc." from Canal Winchester, Ohio. The technician came to the door and first asked me how I would pay. Then he said "I need the check now sir". He demanded the payment, then said he was calling AHS to confirm the warranty coverage. He came back from his truck, and told me the service was not covered and left with my check. In my request to AHS, I specified the pipe was outside of the house. It ended up to be an item not covered by the warranty. AHS should not have had the technician sent, but no one from "A Water Solutions" ever called to verify anything before they arrived. In my opinion, he knew it was not covered before he arrived, and was only concerned about collecting his money. I have spoken with AHS, who has assured me that AHS will reimburse our $60.00 fee that A Water Solution refused to return. I will not permit anyone from A Water Solution, Inc. to come to my home in the future, so before I renew my warranty, I will need to be sure that this is possible. This could have been resolved with a phone call before the service technician arrived. The attitude from A Water Solution, Inc. was that this was a fast $60.00 to collect. They have been selected to do warranty work by AHS in the Cincinnati area, and I have already warned AHS that I will not permit anyone from A Water Solution, Inc. to come to my home again.
THE WORST PLUMBER ON THE PLANET. Late, rude, broke pipes, told me I would have to move my sink, broke a pipe in the wall also. Now instead of a simple clog, I have water pouring into the basement if I use the sink. American Home Solutions sent them out. Then I asked for a second plumber to come out-he was courteous, professional and told me what needed to be done. Unfortunately, AHS won't let them do the work! I have to have this terrible company fix the problem!! Be vigilant when using AHS. Make sure you look up the company before agreeing to use them. I didn't and now I have a huge mess
Dont trust this company....Dont let them in your home. This company was on my home warranty list (not my choice) they came to my home and did no work , but told my home warranty company they did work, the plummer lied and said he did and said he found roots in my basement drain which voided my home warranty ,my advise to all , is not let this company in to your home and please report this company the (BBB) in your city. They are costing people monies.They are liars.......I agree with MissMayo. REFUSE SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY!
Worse service ever. I agree w/bnair57...I, too, was subjected to this company (today) as a result of using my home warranty (1st time ever). If you have a plumbing problem and this company is offered as one to repair it...ask for the 2nd vendor on their list. As a result of the plumber not doing his job completely - I now have carpet damage. They insist they are not responsible for 2nd hand damage. Also the repairman charged me more than the service free for my home warranty company. It is being investigated. REFUSE SERVICE FROM THIS CO!
This company is not worth it!!. they were late for service call, lied to my home warranty company, estimate prices were way high compared to what a couple other contractors told me, things on estimate that weren't needed for job!!
