Tanning Nightmare!!. I cannot tan in natural sunlight nor in tanning beds as I have had skin cancer (carcinoma) in the past so my only option is spray tanning. I've been to Mystic Tan before and was familiar with the process and informed the (overwhelmed) girl working the counter of this. She told me that L.A. Tan uses a 2 tower system and showed me what to do in the booth. She also told me there was no need on my part to let them know what level of tanning I desired as that was determined by the clients height (???). This made me a little uncomfortable as I have never desired the "deep, dark, brown/orange" shade that so obviously screams "FAKE TAN", so I let her know I preferred a more natural, low grade type tan (which I had gotten at "level 1" using Mystic). I applied the lotion liberally to the pertinent areas and went through the process. To my horror, I emerged with a "dipped in spaghetti sauce" effect that was uneven, artificial looking and stained not only my fingers, knuckles, toes and soles of my feet (looked like dark brown leather). But also had an impossibly sticky and greasy feel that lasted until I got home and was able to shower. What remained was splotches of orange/brown on my hands and feet (and the clothing I had worn) as well as an unnatural "too dark" effect I had hoped to avoid!! Only take your chances here if you can live with this for however long it takes to go away. BTW, they use the words "MysticTan" in describing their technique but the system used is actually "CaliforniaTan" and I was unable to find a link to contact them online. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Don't tan here because your valuables will grow legs and dissappear. A girlfriend of mine used the LA Tan on Stringtown road and to say the least her experience was heartbreaking and emotional. She had tanned and when she got to her car and realized she had left her engagement ring on the side table in the room she came back in and the two employees were the only ones in there and the one girl cleaning the room claimed to never see it even though she was cleaning the bed after my friend had tanned, this is a ring that is over $3000.00 and is extremely special, it did not get legs and walk away. When police arrived the one employee claimed she had to leave and went to her car with her purse in hand and after the police left the employee came back in without her purse. Now, you tell me how obvious that is.
