Columbus Best. HUH? I don't think the last reviewer ate at Nida's. I've eaten there many times. Her sushi isn't bland. In fact, it's some of best and freshest in the city (Restaurant Japan is king & Nida is queen). I've been into sushi over 20 years, consult/travel for a living, and dine in cities including NYC, Phil, Balt, DC, LA, SF, & Seattle... in Japan, China, Thai, Viet & most of Europe too. North Market is one of the most interesting places to eat, ANYWHERE. Where else can you sit at a quaint, walk-up sushi bar under a 35 ft beamed ceiling? It's an intimate setting with a bustling back-drop. As a public market, North Market stands out... (well, Pike Street's hard to beat). Try Nida's, you'll be glad you did. After a roll or two, or some sashimi, try the pad thai or curry.…
bland. I was disappointed by the sushi at Nida's. Sure, the people were friendly and the service was good, but the sushi lacked flavor. I don't think they seasoned the rice at all, and the fish was equally bland. I suspect most of it had been frozen at one point. My unagi (bbq'd eel) roll wasn't bad, although the cucumber wasn't as crisp as I'd have prefered.…
Sushi on the go? Yes...it's possible!. Don't have time to wait for great sushi? This place located in the North Market is the bomb! Pre-made (yes..it's fresh!) orders are made every afternoon, so you can grab it and go. Price is reasonable, and the staff is friendly. Good fresh tuna, excellent selection.…
Take Out Sushi at its best. Nida and her staff make take out sushi easy and dont hurt your pocketbook. I have been frequenting Nida since the day she opened. Not once in that time have I had a bad meal or bad service.
