Horrible Staff!. I'm happy to see that other people have had bad experiences with the staff at Skully's. While it sucks they have shitty staff, I'm glad it wasn't just me they singled out.

I was treated poorly by THREE different bartenders for absolutely no reason. One bartender accused me of being underage when I was clearly wearing an over 21 bracelet – and I'm older than the bartender. I wasn't allowed to close my tab because my boyfriend was holding on to the "tab number" they handed me. I offered to show other forms of ID (they had my drivers license w/ my card) but they refused to give me my credit card back & basically accused me of being a liar. Keep in mind this is usually a pretty crowded place, so finding the boyf was NOT easy. I have never been to a place where the bartenders so freely insult, demean and accuse their customers of lying! I'm also very nice & polite to bartenders cause I understand how stressful it can be.

I like their music, but you can bet I won't be giving any of those bartenders my money again. Columbus bars are usually full of friendly people – bartenders at least – but Skully's is a far cry from other Cbus bars in terms of their staff. If these people can't handle the heat, they need to get out the kitchen (or behind the bar.)

Awesome atmosphere and food. The staff is always nice and helpful, and many are fun to talk with. The food is amazing, especially the Skully Burger with Fries. I've been to a few shows at night the bartenders are always prompt with getting my drinks. The crowd is full of life and I always have a good time!

This place sucks. This place sucks. I went there for the Wiz Khalifa concert last night. When we got there they charged us $30 when on their website it said it was $10 at the door. When we finally got in it was packed all the way to the back door and you couldnt move at all. At the end of the concert there was a fight that one of the bouncers started. Very unprofessional place I will never go back and I wouldnt reccomend it to anyone

Unsafe, SCARY crowded!! Staff Rude!‎. I went to Skully's for the RJD2 show on Feb 5. I'd been looking forward to going for weeks. My husband and I are both big RJD2 fans and good electronic acts are rare in Columbus. Our daughter was born 10 months ago and I haven't been out much since her birth... and after my experience last night I will NEVER go to Skully's again!

The show was sold out far past capacity (where's the fire marshal when you need him). I was literally fighting to breathe as the immense crowd shoved through the main room, trying to get out the back door. My thoughts raced as I imagined what might happen if I fainted... I could easily be trampled to death (this is no exaggeration). My thoughts were on my daughter. I knew I had to get out of there before something really dangerous happened. My friend attempted to help me exit the crowd as rude party-goers screamed at us.

Finally, I see someone who works at Skully's. When I explain what had just happened he laughed and said, "what do you want me to do about it". Gee, I don't know. I could have just died in your establishment - you could at least ACT like you care about the value of human life!!

Bottom line, don't go to Skully's. You will be supporting the notion that it's perfectly fine to put your customers in harms way as long as you're making a buck!

Great bar, terrible staff. Skully's is one of the best places to see a band. The sound is great, the stage is big, so there are no bad places to stand. The drinks are priced averagely for Columbus; not to high, but not very cheap. One thing to be cautious of is the staff. A few are great bartenders, but for the most part, everyone I know has had a terrible experience with staff there. Incidences include rudeness and overcharging on tabs (adding in drinks that were not ordered, changing the tip amount after the fact). It seems to be a regular thing there, so it's better to pay with cash there, and not expect the friendly bartender that Columbus bars usually have.

Best place to relax in the downtown area. If your looking for a relaxed, fun, inexpensive place to hang look no further than skullys. They have great food, excellent bartenders, and 99% drama free (no bar is perfect). Great music all week long, on sundays there's old school rap/r&b, and of course the famous ladies 80's on Thursdays. If you haven't been here come check it out, you will not be disappointed.
