Columbus >Aveda by Michael Farrell
bad talent. Ive been salon hopping around columbus to find a good hairstylist since mine moved. When i tried this salon it was horrible. Staff was friendly but my hairstylist whom i paid a lot for cut the back of my hair uneven, and the style was just off. They dont really have talent here save your money for some place thats worth it
Air dry your feet, the towels are too old to hold water. you see the name... Aveda by Michael farrell.... You think "Oh this has to be a great place!" ... WRONG! Went in for a pedicure, spent $40 for it, they had a horrible selection of goopy nail polish, the plastic cover on the whirlpool jet came off and started to float in my tub while my feet were soaking, the TOWELS were old and shredded, and I was told that new towels and polishes were back ordered and would be in soon. You can get OPI polish anywhere, and the last time I checked, towels are sold at Sears and JCPenny's (located right around the corner!) The people were nice and friendly, but the products were terrible. If Im paying $40 for something with only $10 in old fraying towels and jet covers coming off, the price should be dropped! I Will not go back.
Request Tawnie Burkey. I had very lond hair and was afraid to get it cut, but Tawnie gave me the best cut...thanks so much Tawnie
product manager. This is the best salon I have ever been too! Not only is everybody nice, the place is so relaxing! The stylists are always smiling and they even took me on a tour of the spa. One stylist gave me a complimentary stress relief treatment and a complimentary blow out just for coming into the salon! I will be back and also refer people in. Thank you Michael Farrell and staff!
Nice, but not great. I have been going to an "Aveda" salon for years now. Bad cut at a diff. salon, so I tried Michael's. They got me right in with a new stylist. She was great, listened to me and gave me the cut we talked about. The salon itself was a let down. I wasn't asked to change into a smock. The chair I was in was broken, had no footrest, my feet dangled and became numb after a few minutes. The stress relief massage that is customary at Aveda salons, was done in the broken chair and was 3 min. tops. For an "Aveda Salon" I was a bit let down by the quality stylist stations, chairs and shampooing area. The cut and service were great, but if you're looking to be pampered, try a different salon.
