Save your money. It has the worst food in town. The sandwiches were inedible because the bread was stale and the meat was old. The Amish pie was stale and soggy. One visit was enough. How does this restaurant pass inspection?

Would be a nice place for a restaurant. We have eaten at the Nutcracker a few times, hoping the food would get better, but after our last encounter, we will not be going back. My husband had a beef sandwich and it looked and tasted terrible. When we left, the cashier asked how the food was, and he told her it was the worst beef sandwich he had ever had. She thanked him and told us to come back soon. This could be such a cool place to eat with the decor, but the food keeps us away. The place seems busy all the time, so I'm not sure where that leaves my opinion. On the service side, the servers couldn't be more attentive and friendly, and the '50s diner theme is fun.

It's a great homestyle breakfast.
The interior of the place is good fun. it's the kind of eclectic place that has tons of stuff to look at, not all of it from the same genre even though the overall decor is of a 50's diner.
I had breakfast here. It's solid good diner food. The home fries are definitely prepared in a two-step process in which they are precooked then sliced and fried. It makes them smooth for chewing with lovely crunchy fried parts throughout. The bacon is of the thin slice variety which I LOVE and the coffee is a great nutty flavor that is bound to leave you asking for seconds.
My fiancee had a pancake that he swears is the best he's had in a long time and the orange juice tastes freshly squeezed but I didn't ask if that was true or not.
overall a great breakfast joint. we are going back for dinner a few days I will update then.
