Not impressed.
The first time I saw Bliss, I thought it would be the place for me because it looked like a very sophisticated salon from the outside. What a let down.
I did go to the salon for a while and had one particular stylist in the time that I spent there. She was at least 10 minutes late everytime that I would go there. I got the same boring cut everytime that I went there even though I asked for something different from time to time.
The last time I went there, I didn't even get a cut. I went on my scheduled day and time but she told me I didn't have an appointment. She looked in her old book and sure enough, there I was. She hadn't transfered my name to the new book. I asked if I could still be seen and said I didn't mind to wait. She was getting annoyed that I was trying to ask for some help in front of the other customers. She was very rude and did not want to give me a haircut though it was her fault.
Like the other reviews, this was not a very blissful experience.…
Wonderful Hair By A Wonderful Stylist..
I found Bliss after a long search for a new stylist. While I'm very paranoid about going somewhere new and getting a butcher job, I also hate when I see a new stylist and after a few visits end up
with the same hair cut no matter what pictures or requests provide. This was never the case with Bliss.
I found them on citysearch and called to make an appointment with Julie. It is hard to get an actual person on the phone because of their limited staff/bustling business, but I've never had to wait long for a very friendly call back after I leave a voicemail.
During my first visit, Julie was very warm, friendly, and welcoming...which is awesome when you are a new client coming into a tight-knit salon (like me). She was excellent at understanding what I wanted, and more importantly, what I didn't want. I have very wavy and thick hair that doesn't always work with the short hair styles that I desire. I usually have to style the heck out of my hair to make it look decent. But Julie gave me the first cut that actually looked awesome even if I just washed and let it air dry. When I returned a second time she gave me a gorgeous cut with some dramatic bangs that any other stylist might have have toned down or botched completely. She is a great listener and is really good at providing a cut based on what the client is looking for. I never felt rushed, mistreated, uncomfortable or ignored. I hope anyone looking for a new salon will give Bliss a try. It's a wonderful experience for a great value.
*And for the one-star reviews. I hope people realize that 3 one-star reviews in a huge batch of perfect, glowing ones might indicate that a few people will never be pleased with anything, rather than the quality of the salon itself.…

For those of you who left us bad reviews, I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. I would like to think of our salon as a friendly, and down to earth place. If you are looking for a Kenneths or Penzones, we are not that place! We are a very small salon (only 3 stylists) We do not have set hours, as we all book our own appointments. We can be much more flexable this way. We also work by appointment only, and usually book up at least a week in advanced. We all have at least 18 years of experience. BEST SALON IN COLUMBUS. AFTER TRYING MANY SALONS IN MANY STATES, BLISS IS THE BEST. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THE WORKING GIRLS, THE BEST COLOR I HAVE EVER HAD AND A GREAT CUT.
