Jessica is the most amazing colorist EVER!!!!! :D. Let me start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews on CitySearch (this is my first one), and that I have NEVER been pleased with my hair color in all the years that I have been going to "color specialists"... Bear with me, as this is a long review, but I just want everyone to know how AMAZING Jessica is!!!! :)

Since I had so many less-than-impressive coloring experiences, I started coloring my own hair for awhile, and had the "ombre" look (dark roots and blonde length/ends). I model for a living, and didn't want to have that trendy look to my hair anymore, so I decided to try to find a color specialist who could make my hair one color, without it being two-toned or uneven.

Anyway I was in Columbus for a photo shoot, and had a big audition coming up for a magazine cover. I decided to go out on a whim and research some top hair salons in Columbus to see if someone could give me the color that I desired -- a rich auburn.

I found Atelier Salon's website, and saw that all of the stylists had many positive reviews. So I called and asked if they could fit me in that day, and they did! Jessica happened to have an opening, and I was literally praying that my hair would turn out the way I wanted it to, as I was nervous due to many mediocre salon coloring experiences in the past.

When I came in, I was greeted by Erin, who wasn't as friendly as I would have expected (considering I was a brand new client). However, I just assumed that maybe she was having an off-day, and decided not to let that bother me as a first impression. Anyway, a few minutes later I was warmly greeted by Jessica who took me to her station to discuss what I wanted.

She took the time to ask questions to make sure that she knew the EXACT color that I wanted. I had shown her a picture of a a dark auburn, but then she showed me a picture of a medium auburn, which I like a lot better. She knew what I was describing, and found the exact picture to match!!

She was so incredibly professional, and is incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable when it comes to hair color. It was a two-step process to get the color I wanted, and I am still in awe of how amazing my color looks!! When she rinsed and dried my hair, I was so pleased with how well it complimented my eye color and my skin tone. I was so excited that I hugged her -- twice!! ;)

I literally teared up the next day as I was looking at it in the mirror because it was the first time that I 100% LOVED my hair color, and it wasn't the slightest bit streaky, uneven, or two-toned!! The color and the evenness is literally perfect!!!! :) If you are very particular or OCD about your hair color, YOU MUST GO TO JESSICA!! You will not be disappointed!!!! :) I will definitely be going back for my touch-ups because she has created the perfect color formulation for me!! Thank you, Jessica!!!! :)

My New First Choice for Hair Services. I recently visited the salon for the first time and received a haircut from Jessica. She was professional, friendly, and talented. She gave me a cut that reflected exactly the wishes I discussed with her during our consultation. Along with the bright, cheerful salon atmosphere and very reasonable pricing, it was an easy decision to make this my new first choice for hair services. I will be going back soon for coloring and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

ATELIER..Best in Columbus. I have been going to Melinda for the past year now, and my hair couldn't look better! She is always full of ideas and knows all the new trends. She also airbrushed my makeup for my wedding and i couldn't have been happier! It's nice to have a stylist you can trust..The staff is so friendly and the salon has a very pleasant atmosphere!! If you're new the the area or looking for a new place to go, I'd definately suggest Atelier.

Best in the city!. What a salon experience should be! I have been going to Atelier for a little over a year and consider myself a bit of a salon connoisseur. I have been to other salons around the city and was never totally happy with what I would walk out with. I used to go one place to get my color and another to get my haircuts. Mason and Erin do my hair now. He cuts and she colors, they are a top-notch team. A little pricier than most! But it is my hair and in this case you definitely get what you pay for. I get 2-3 weeks more between my services. I think it's worth it! Especially when I don't want to go get it fixed somewhere else right after. When I first went to them I had just had a horrible haircut or should I say hair butchery. Mason was able to not only able to fix the cut he made it look better than any I had before. I couldn't believe it! I thought it would take a few cuts to get it back to where I liked it again.

I asked Mason where he learned how to do hair!? Google "Martin Parsons" It says alot ! He and Erin both teach other hairstylists.

Cuts and colors are amazing.

They can explain why and what they are doing!

My bangs never look like I'm in 5th grade

They actually know how to blowdry hair. (who'd a thunk I actually leave with a style I love.) Plus they show you how to style your hair. I've never had anyone do that before!

cuts and colors at Atelier with Erin. I've been going to this salon for over 5 years now and have always gone to Erin. She is the BEST stylist I've ever been to. She always has great ideas if you don't know what to do with your hair, or if you only sort of know what you want. She is a color specialist so she truly knows what colors will and won't work with your hair, too. I love changing mine every so often and everytime I change I think it's my new favorite hair color. Erin is also an expert in what styles will look good on you - she isn't pushy so you won't end up with something you hate later or can't do on a daily basis - but if you want something totally wrong for your face, she will give you gentle suggestions of something a bit different that will work better, but still has your ideas in mind. This salon is upscale but not snobby, which is also a plus. It is busy but not a complete madhouse like some other salons - when you are there you always feel like you are the most important customer at that time - not you and 3 other people at the same time as you. I love my experiences at Atelier with Erin and would follow her to any place she ended up going to! If you want a fantastic hair cut, great (do-able) style and color that always is right for you and looks fresh even 6 weeks later, make an appointment with Erin TODAY!!! And this doesn't have anything to do with your actual cut there, but I also love the way this salon is decorated!!!! Great color scheme!

Personalized service, great haircut. Nicole used to cut my hair when we both lived in our home town. When she started working at Atelier and I moved to Chicago, I didn't think that finding another stylist would be that difficult. I was wrong. I have travelled over 350 miles to have my favorite stylist, Nicole, cut my hair. It was worth every mile. She really takes the time to listen to what I want (and don't want) my hair to look like. She treats each haircut like a work of art. She sculpts, molds and puts each hair into place perfectly. Whenever I come home from my mini-spa vacation, everyone asks where I got my hair cut. I proudly tell them, "Atelier Salon in Columbus, OH." They think I am crazy for going so far for a haircut. I have never been disappointed. I am now planning a "Girl's Trip" so they can see the difference themselves. Never underestimate the power of a great haircut, or a fabulous stylist. I have found both in Nicole at Atelier Salon.

Best Salon in Columbus. I have been going to Atalier for over a year now and love it! Erin is fantastic. I have always given her the freedom to do what she thinks looks best and walk out extremely satisfied!

The atmosphere is very warm and friendly while maintaining a hip and trendy feel! I have also had a few pedicures by Christy and feel she does a fantastic job!

Everyone is friendly and outgoing and makes you feel comfortable.

If your looking for a great cut and color or new style, I would recommend trying Atalier!

Fun and relaxing experience. Just had the best haircut I have had in years!! I have been going to this salon for a while now and they always know the right haircut and color for me. I always have a good experience there and find the prices are competitive. They also sell good products. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone that is looking for a change or would like more personalized service. The hair stylists that work there are great people, love what they do and really want you to look your best.

Great individual attention. I love going to Atelier because it's not a chain salon. There are so many chain's in Colmbus. Restaurants, salons, stores. There is a "sameness"about the look of chain hair, the Columbus cut/color. I don't feel that way about Atelier. I enjoy my stylist knowing my name, where I live and what I do. Everyone there is unique and has a sense of personal style. The salon is big enough to offer great service to the guest but not too big you feel like a number. I've gotten the best cut/color while in Columbus without paying more that I would anywhere else.

Easy to get to, relaxed envioronment and an unique styling for each guest.

I left feeling great !. I have been all over looking for someone to look at me and tell me what would best fit me . I have been in and out of many salons unsatisfied of the end result ( Which I'm sure everyone knows that feeling) until now. I also found this salon through this site. I have never had anyone take that much time to sit and talk to me about what I wanted , what I didn't want and what would best suit me. I left feeling great and I looked great as well. So go visit Erin at Atelier and feel great too.
