Poor Service, Rude Owner, Loud, Average Food. Service is outright poor, waited over 10 minutes for any type of service. The owner needs to do some reading abut the state of Ohio drinking law, being a college town he should be up to speed as to understand that Ohio law provides that when you are with your legal parent and they consent, you are legally allowed to have a beer! The owner is his rude way, must think that he is running a 5 star establishment, wake up, only a 2 star at best; his big statement that the Columbus police will arrest me and my daughter and that the police have told him numerous times no provision for underage consumption is outright BS--being a highly educated town the owner should do some free reading on the internet. Bottom line the food is ok, the noise level is a 10+, you will sit right on top of other people, service is poor, food is average and the owner is rude-----Columbus has so many other great places---take your business to another fine establishment!…
Awful service, average food. Had an awful experience at this restaurant. My wife and I went for our anniversary and ordered their top menu item. When the server brought our food out, he placed both of our plates in front of us and then presented my wife with a choice. Because the kitchen had cut a 7oz vs a 4 oz filet, they withheld (hostage?) the seafood portion of the meal. Her choice was to accept the 7oz filet or allow the server to take the ENTIRE plate back off the table, back to the kitchen so they could cut off 3oz of the filet, at which time, they would bring out the seafood. Absolutely ridiculous. We asked the bar tender walking through the dining area if we could take dessert in the bar, without breaking stride, he looked over, snorted and said "I don't care". I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy.…
Great Atmosphere!.
My husband and I are what you might consider "earlybirds". We like to eat dinner before 6pm to avoid the crowds...especially at the more popular restaurants. But even on St. Pat`s day you cannot
order from the dinner menu before 5pm.
Of course it was worth the wait! And we ordered a beer sampler and some fantastic cajun Hummus while we mulled over our dinner choices. But beware, the hummus will creep-up on you! and you`ll feel the heat in the back of your throat.
Portions are good and the dining room was nearly empty. But the you have to pass thru the busy bar to get in and out.…
A must try. Besides the fact that this place is supposedly haunted and ghosts are one of my biggest fears, I absolutely love it and have become quit the regular! They make the best drinks, the food is consistently delicious and the service staff is very friendly . The food is reasonably priced for a downtown restaurant, and the beer is excellent especially the dark horse. I have never been a fan of dark beer, but this is one to try even if you never have been a dark beer drinker in the past. As far as the food goes I especially love the crab cakes but the rock filet is really fun for a special occasion. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and is definitly the spot for an amazing date night, a night out on the town with friends, or for relaxation after a long day at work. Hope my review helped, and enjoy!…
Nice place to eat with home town beer.. Im not a big beer drinker but my husband loves the selection... I like supporting local businesses and this is one worth checking out. The food is good but a bit pricey which is to be expected from a downtown restaurant. Nice servers and envronment!…
