Poor service. This was my first time at the restaurant. I made reservations and they seated us next to the bar in a smoking area. The service was quite poor. The food attempted to make up for it. Great swordfish, average surf'n'turf. Great wine for the price. I would choose other restaurants for the money.
Great food & location...Poor Service.
Ocean Club makes a great attempt to fit into the Easton setting and, although boasts good food, falls short on ambience and service.
With giant mirror fish on the walls and endless undulating waves, the ornate decorations offer a more gaudy appeal, rather than what it was intended for.
The dishes are well-prepared, which is to be expected at a Mitchell joint, and is infused with asian seasonings and preparations. Unfortunately, the obnoxious bartenders and sub-par service makes Ocean Club a not-so-worthwhile experience.
delicious!. The food was beyond compare, but it is a bit expensive. Not much under $20 a plate. Overall I would recommend it.
An "underwater" oasis of excellent seafood perched atop Easton..
The Scene
Looking like Beverly Hills minus the palm trees, the Ocean Club nests on the second level of Easton Town Center, overlooking the mall's faux streetscape.
The Feel
The restaurant's watery decor--including squid sculptures-- inspires amphibian dreams. One wall is a mural of bubbles in a cobalt sea, and a jewel-encrusted mermaid is the centerpiece of the main dining room.
The Menu
Asian, Italian and American cooking are all on the menu. And yes, you can order something besides seafood: Steak, duck and pork are also offered. The house salad with sherry vinaigrette and goat cheese beats the house Caesar.
Required Eating
Prince Edward Island mussels are simmered in lemon-ginger cream and garnished with cilantro. It's such a simple preparation, but the resulting broth is so good, you'd better ask for a spoon so you don't miss a drop. Seafood fettuccine features a fresh egg pasta made with a big dose of cracked black pepper that makes the dish spicy hot.
My favorite restaurant. Ocean Club is my favorite restaurant in columbus. I drive 40 minutes just to eat there. The food is fantastic and the ambiance even better
Best restaurant in the city!!. My wife and I went to the Ocean Club for our second wedding anniversary and it was beyond what we expected. It was our first time dining at the Ocean Club and it was recommended by some friends but we couldn't have imagined that it was this fantastic. Our server catered to our every need and the food was absolutely wonderful. I had the scallops and my wife had the salmon both of which where recomendations by our server. The mushroom sauce with my scallops was perfect and my wife liked her salmon so much she wouldn't even let me have a bite!! Everything was so wonderful, I could say more but don't have enough room. We plan on coming back to the Ocean Club way before our next anniversary and highly recommend it to our friends as the best restaurant in the city.
Disappointed. I made reservations a week in advance for an important dinner party with clients, I even went so far as to stop in 3 days beforehand and pick out the section we wanted seated in, the table, and the view we wanted. When we arrived at the restaurant the table was not ready and when they went to seat us, they had disregarded the arrangement we had previously made. After we waited for an additional 10 minutes we were finally seated in the back room, where we had to yell across the table to one another. I guess next time I will have to set the table up myself...
Just right. From beginning to end the whole experience was great, right down to the blue cheese-stuffed olives in the wife's martini. Food presentation was wonderful, service was excellent. I can't think of a single reason why I wouldn't be back. Noise level was a little high, but that's to be expected on a Friday night.
Anniversary 2002. Total bill a little over $50.00 for 2 people. We had beer and iced tea/split a house salad/Grilled Swordfish w/mashed potatos and carrots/Ginger crusted salmon w/sticky rice and broccoli. Portions were very large (that's why we split a salad). I thought the swordfish was just a bit overcooked alond with the mashed potatos being a bit dry. The salmon was perfect. Got a free desert because of our anniversary. Service was excellent. Not a place for small children.
