Great restaurants , good bars, neat galleries. Fun to walk the streets going from place to place. Gallery Hop is a fun time. Eat at Frezno, Dagwoodz, Haiku or L'Antibes. You won't be disappointed. Basso Bean, Coffee table are good coffee shops. Curio shops and art galleries abound. Mac's and Havana are god bars. Great scene for all types and interests.
- Pros: restaurants-bars, galleries, walking distance
- Cons: parking
Cozy and Classic
by nfrey21
The short north keeps Columbus in check. With the new Nationwide area keeping things busy, the short north offers more of a diverse, smaller scale atmosphere. From noon to night, there is something to eat, look at, drink or buy. We have got to do something about the parking though. I feel bad for the residence.
- Pros: Classic Atmosphere, Variety
- Cons: PARKING
Feel Smart for Cheap

The Short North Arts district is the cultural mecca of Columbus. More specifically, the Short North Gallery Hop is an inexpensive (free actually) way to get some culture into your life and to feel smart, without any of that "reading" stuff you get at the library.
Grab a group of friends/coworkers, meet at a bar from some drinks before, then hit High Street and see all the overpriced art. It makes for a fun evening!
