Get you Kicks on Rt 66...and Dicks (it rhymes). Probably the best bar in Columbus. What has happened musically there is really something you won't find anywhere else. I like going there looking for blues. It is easy to find some really talented bluesmen there. Everything from classis Chicago Blues, to some Buddy Guy, and even a little Stevie Ray...I've heard it all there over the months. Now of course the jazz thing is going down and I challenge you to find even one other bnar ot club in Columbus that has "Beat" music. As much as I love it, I find myself laughing from time to time as I remember Maynard G. Crebbs...from the old Dobie Gillis show. The part was played by Bob Denver who went on to play Gilligan. Very cool.

Best Bar In Town. As far as I'm concerned this is the best bar in Columbus. I've been a regular for years. The crowd is great with a mix of regulars and people who come just to see the music. The envrionment is cozy with its old high ceiling, wood grain walls, neon signs and paintings of people who went to the bar througout the years. They've recently added a side patio which is cozy in the winter and comfortable in the summer. The prices are great but perhaps the best parts is the people who work there and the people who go there.

Love this place. Always a cool place to go and chill. The music has always been enjoyable and the staff have always been great. Lots of pictures of people on the walls. Not real loud and I always end up meetin someone new!

As the sign says: "Why Not?" There isn't any reason not to visit this cozy jazz dive.. In Short
Decorated in wood grain and plenty of pictures of longtime regulars, this bar is welcoming on slow weeknights and happening on weekends. A live jazz tradition that started on Sundays has expanded into a full weekend of music, which sometimes makes the leap to bluegrass or the "Circus of Cool," in which jazz musicians improvise behind poetry readers that keep the Beat tradition alive. With a low cover charge, Sunday jazz at Dick's remains one of the greatest musical events in town.
