In Short – Decorated in wood grain and plenty of pictures of longtime regulars, this bar is welcoming on slow weeknights and happening on weekends. A live jazz tradition that started on Sundays has expanded into a full weekend of music, which sometimes makes the leap to bluegrass or the "Circus of Cool," in which jazz musicians improvise behind poetry readers that keep the Beat tradition alive. With a low cover charge, Sunday jazz at Dick's remains one of the greatest musical events in town.
Eclectic,but cool, clientele.

A very" live and let live" atmosphere.I've talked to every strata of society here. It's like coming home in the twilight zone.
- Pros: Great specials all hours.Dark ,warm, early 20th century decor
- Cons: Parking.
